"We had a great experience in this cozy farmhouse property. It is in a charming rural setting with quick access to a lovely drive to one of the seven scenic glens. The property hosts are exceptional. Very kind and friendly and accommodating. We would be happy to come again. I was also excited to see two wee calves born while here which was truly a bucket list experience!"

It is rare to find an establishment with so many excellent and accurate five star reviews.I can testify that they are all correct. Blackwell house recently won an award as the best Guest house in Northern Ireland, and it is well deserved. I had the pleasure to spend one night in "Lily's room", but would have happily stayed the weekend. The service is five star from the welcome at the door to the excellent "Ulster fry" for breakfast the following morning, which is only one of the many tasty...

I had the warmest welcome from Catherine, with some tea and homemade scone😍
The location is beautiful and peaceful.
The breakfast was incredible, vast choice and so much food served, which was much needed to take on the Cuilcagh Boardwalk!

Lovely hotel in a regenerated area of the city. Good facilities. Only things that need improvement are staff customer service- waiters and waitresses are either young and clearly doing summer jobs or older staff where English is not their first language and I found either things asked for did not show up or staff didn’t understand. Also an electric charger for EV/ hybrid vehicles would be welcome.

8/10 Good
The hotel is centrally located in the city of Derry with large clean modern rooms. The bar is essentially the pub next door, which is quite busy. There aren't any real hotel amenities eg lobby or gym, so i did find it tricky without room servi e late at night. Nonetheless in normal hours it is great and comfortable place to stay.
