Just wanted to thank you for all the arrangements re the renting of Villa Vista for our holiday over the past 2 weeks. We had a FANTASTIC time in your amazing house. The location is of course second to none. Local people are lovely and very welcoming everywhere. As an example, when the road up from the church was blocked off as we arrived, we stopped to ask the way and a gentleman from one of the nearby houses telephoned his friend, then hopped on his moped to lead us up to the villa! Weather was great, which always helps but it was the the huge impression of an area completely unspoilt, combined with living in a lovely house that remains in our memories.

Awesome Villa, would come back again and again!

The photos really don't do the environment justice. This Peninsula is GORGEOUS. We traveled all over Croatia and the views here, the olive trees and vineyards, the quiet little fishing villages, all of it - probably the most beautiful place we visited in Croatia. My husband and I rented Villa Viganj with a group of friends for a low-key wedding just a few weeks ago, and we really just could not have been happier. Jane and her staff were fantastic, extremely professional, and just went above and beyond for us - and voluntarily I might add. We happened to mention casually at the last minute that we were getting married and Jane hooked us up with a stunning location, a water taxi to Korcula and a phenomenal dinner at the Lesic Dimitri. It was all perfect. The house is big enough that none of our group ever felt crowded; there is everything you could need for cooking fantastic meals, the bedrooms are tastefully and well-appointed, its just a short, fragrant stroll down the hill to the crystal clear water - really it was just perfect. Jane provides a TON of information to orient you when you get there, including recommendations for restaurants that are really special experiences. Highly recommended!!! I do suggest renting a car though - the Villa is not easy to get to by public transit and it helps to have a vehicle. Fortunately for us Croatia is just like driving in the US. Thanks Jane for making our vacation a breeze and full of fabulous memories!!

Magical villa on the Adriatic

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Vista. The position of the property is amazing - nestled in trees with a stunning view across the sea to Korcula. The internal layout of the house is really great and very spacious, although we spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the views. Jane & her team were a pleasure to deal with, helpful and quick to respond to any queries. We'll definitely stay again.

Our first time in Croatia and certainly won't be our last. This was a pandemic delayed vacation to celebrate a couple of milestone birthdays for a group of 8 persons ranging from 20 to 50+. Villa Vista is the perfect venue for a big group as the property is large and the swimming pool seperate allowing privacy and space, plus a short walk to the beach and very clean, crystal clear sea, restaurants and beach clubs gives another dimension. Pictures do not and cannot justify the breathtaking views from the top terrace and pool terrace. Jane the owner has clearly made this a home from home with very nice touches all round, comfortable large beds and a reallty well-stocked kitchen for the evenings where you sit and simply enjoy the sunset on the terrace. The information provided is really informative and helpful and the local network of contacts, Josip, transfers /taxis /wine tours / Ivan -fastest and nicest water taxi in the area, Sanja who will come and cook a local and lovely meal at the villa, all really nice people who only add to and enhance the holiday experience. Young or old you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful house in a gorgeous location....

We loved staying in this historic property overlooking the ocean. The pool and the patio were lovely and everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay is available. We really enjoyed having space for our three adult children to spread out. Many thanks again to Jane and Craig!

A Great House in a Great Location

My family and I spent eight nights at Villa Vista in Viganj in early June, 2021. Villa Vista is an excellent villa in a beautiful location. The views of the Adriatic Sea and the island of Korčula were incredible. The natural beauty of the well maintained grounds and the outdoor dining and grilling area were alone worth the cost. I enjoy being outside as much as possible and I certainly enjoyed cooking and dining on the patio while enjoying the views and all that nature offers. I spent a lot of time in the patio area and never tired of the views and natural ambiance. The interior of the villa was excellent as well and made for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for feeding a family of five, Everything worked fine and there were no problems. Viganj is a beautiful area. It is and up and coming area for sure. Not as sophisticated as other locations in Western Europe but quiet and peaceful. The locals were mostly friendly and spoke good English. Crime is virtually non existent, I marveled at the number of bicycles, some of them fairly new and pricey, just leaned up against trees unsecured. I would not do the same in my community despite living in an upscale area in the US. The spirit, toughness and openness of the Croatian people really impressed me. Overall, I think the villa and the Viganj area are very good value for the money and I highly recommend. The area really is unique and beautiful. The architecture, although not quite up there with nearby Italy, is very beautiful and unique. There are a few beautiful churches located on the cliffs above the sea that are definitely worth a visit. If water activities are your interest, this place is a paradise. Other than surfing, you can almost do it all here. The kite surfing is incredible here and the kite surfers were fun to watch. Just a really beautiful and fun place to be. Finally, the owners are stand up people. They were very helpful and quickly resolved a minor issue we had without any drama. I enjoyed doing business with them. Dan Flinn Arizona, USA

Incredible View!

We just returned from a week at this wonderful property. It was very spacious and well equipped for our family of 4 (two adults and two children aged 11 and 8). It could comfortably have taken another family. The road to the house and walk up from the beach are steep but nothing difficult and the payoff is the, really quite astonishing, view from the terrace - the best of any villa we have ever rented. The owner was responsive, friendly, and helpful and gave some really great recommendations for shopping, dinner and things to do. The beach in Viganj is quite windy and choppy - but using the recommended water taxi is a snap and good value. Korcula town on the boat is 15 (very fun) minutes and the fabulous beach restaurant Estravaganca was a similar trip for the cost of a London Uber. Pool was clean, perfect temperature, and we spent a lot of time lazing by it. The bedrooms were all spacious, clean and cool with AC. Kitchen and BBQ had everything we needed. Brilliant villa.

authentic croatia

Beautiful location but drive up to house is tricky. House itself is lovely and garden and terrace outside lovely though could do with some better shading. A microwave would be a useful addition in the kitchen. Wasps around pool made it almost unusable which was a pity but I think that's just the season and the vegetation. Hire a RIB in Orebic and explore the smaller islands off Korcula, including picture-perfect bar/restaurant on Stupe! Water clean and warm, scenery amazing, people friendly and helpful but no sense of trying to extract money from you. All in all, a great holiday and a lovely villa.

A beautiful property with fantastic views

This is our second time at this property and we look forward to our next stay. Beautifully restored house with plenty of space and very well equipped. A wonderful terrace with the most fantastic views across the water towards Korcula. Good-sized pool. You can walk to shops, restaurants and bars from the property but when you are at the house it is quiet and secluded. A special place.

Wow - stunning views, Villa and pool

This was our third visit to Villa Vista and as with our previous holidays there we had a superb family holiday. The Villa is located on the hillside above Viganj with incredible views of Korcula. With the pool, the veranda and all the mod cons in the Villa we had many lazy days relaxing and unwinding, swinging in the hammocks or swimming in the pool. The Villa is stunning and such a perfect place for a proper break to escape, relax and recharge. This year we chartered a yacht from Split and sailed down to the Peljesac. The owners were v helpful in helping us find a charter and in the logistics for our transfer to the Villa in Viganj.

Beautiful property with spectacular views

Jane’s villa is quite simply fantastic. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is much bigger than it appears in the photos and is so well equipped one could cater for an army! The pool is amazing and but what is unquestionably the outstanding feature of the property is the terrace with the most fabulous views over the coast and the island of Korcula. Jane was so kind and helpful, offering us advice and recommendations before and during our stay. I would say that you definitely need a car since, whilst the village is not too far away, it is a very steep climb to the villa. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Jane’s villa.

We (5 old friends) had a wonderful week. House, garden and pool were all lovely.

Pool lovely and secluded. Villa very well equipped. A short walk to the small village of Viganj, by the water's edge. Steep climb back! 2 good bar / restaurants for simple evening meals. People friendly. Altogether a great time. Thanks, Jane, for always being at the end of the phone for texts etc.

Magic

This is actually the third time we have stayed in this perfect gem. It's hard to describe the pure magic of this place. It is stunningly beautiful, quiet, well stocked, easy to relax. Yet just a short jaunt down the road, either by foot or by car is the awesome action of a seaside village with lovely bars/restaurants, kiting, shopping, biking, boating, tennis etc. The people are amazing, some of the nicest in the world. The winerys are an easy day trip, as is Korcula, another fabulous must see. Then back to the oasis of this beautiful property. We did look at changing our location to be in the village and decided against it because we truly enjoyed the feeling each day of 'getting away' from it all. I highly recommend this place to any group that is looking to relax and have fun, it offers the perfect balance. I will be going back again and again.

wonderful villa and plenty to do

A wonderful and comfort villa with fabulous views of the sea and the beautiful island of Korcula . So much to do on the doorstep for all ages, from cycling, walking, wine tasting on the land and boating, wind and kite surfing in the crystal clear sea. Safe local village for youngsters to walk and hang out in. Highly recommended.

Super villa,fabulous views

Interrupted a motor homing holiday, for a week in Villa Vista with our three children & their partners, all in their 20,s I had researched villas & areas( having never been to Croatia before) & the children had voted on my three final choices.The Peljesac peninsula is stunning & in June didn't seem very busy at all. Jane had said a small motor home could access the property but it was a heart in the mouth journey up from the road! With the childrens two hire cars it wasn't moved again until we left. Our daughter who had arrived before us from Dubrovnik airport( such an easy journey) rushed outside to meet us exclaiming " it's even better than the photos ". It was fabulous, great views,spacious,really well equipped & comfortable. The pool was a real bonus( particularly after a walk up the hill after the morning bread run) & we spent the late afternoons playing pool volley ball. The offspring tried their hand at windsurfing, we all snorkelled in the lovely clear waters & had some great food & wine both locally & on our outings.The sun shone every day. It was bliss- need I go on?!

Delightful for a gathering of friends to celebrate a special occasion.

Spectacular views overlooking the water and Korcula. House is charming and well-maintained and equipped for large gatherings. It was the perfect place for my husband to celebrate his fantasy 60th birthday with good friends. Even though we weren't windsurfers, it was fun to watch them enjoying their idea of paradise. Jane (owner) is attentive and suggested many local spots for eating and activities. House is maintained by a friendly band of locals who were only too willing to help us with inane questions and minor issues. Can't wait to celebrate my 60th!

Even prettier than the pictures - simply stunning

Having been asked for a recommendation of somewhere to stay in Croatia, I realised that I had never written a review of our family get together at this beautiful property. We actually stayed there for two weeks in July 2015 (Calendar wouldn't go that far back). We were a party of 12 with ages ranging from three to 71 years. The house exceeded our expecations and we all still talk about the holiday. There was a bush fire that cut out the power for 24 hours but Jane and her family were near at hand with advice and emergency water and it didn't impact on our enjoyment one little bit. The whole ambience feels like a private resort and the area surrounding it was filled with day trips, wind-sailing and fabulous places to eat and have a sunset drink. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We felt the magic

It's difficult to describe just how wonderful our stay at Villa Vista was, from the unbelievably exquisite views, that changed by the hour, to the long, lazy hours spent in the hammock reading a book and drinking some of the peninsular's stunning wines, to swimming in the clear blue sea and sleeping in the comfortable beds. There was enough space for us all to relax together, or be apart, the pool area was well maintained and it was a delight to see so many beautiful plants and trees growing in the garden. The owners care and attention to every detail was truly outstanding. We'll be back, we felt the magic!

Perfect

A group of 8 of us stayed at Villa Vista for a 10th University reunion. We chose this villa based on the earlier reviews on this site and we were not in anyway disappointed. The Villa is exceptionally well equipped from truly comfortable beds, the kitchen through to the pool area and the views from both terraces are outstanding. There is a ton of space for everyone which meant we could hang out together or take time out from the group. The village offered something for all of us - water sports, cute restaurants and bars and a good local shop. Nearby larger Orebic was great for larger shopping etc. The Villa's position means you can take advantage of all on offer while being able escape the busy waterfront and relax over a glass of wine [ or two ] in our own space. Cant rate this place highly enough and we will be back.

Stunning villa, stunning location...

Beautiful villa, well equipped with all the amenities of your own home. Bedrooms all air-conditioned, very welcome on hot steamy nights. Many villa's claim to sleep 10, only to find you have beds in weird places, this villa sleeps 10 in proper bedrooms with great bathrooms too. The location is fantastic not too overrun with tourists with lots to do. Like the marketing slogan says "Croatia - like the med used to be" a true statement. Can't wait to return to Villa Vista...

The Jackpot

We spent 18 months searching for the perfect villa in which to celebrate our golden wedding with our family. In selecting Villa Vista we hit the jackpot. The location is superb with magnificent views especially across the water to Korcula. We were 10 aged from 3 to 76 and there was plenty of room for all of us. We never felt on top of one another. The villa was clean, airy and comfortable and all our pre arrival requests had been met. The owner's representative came twice to ask whether all was well and to ensure that we had everything we needed. The house is very well appointed and equipped and there is a splendid swimming pool which was serviced daily. The 44 steps down to it from the terrace were well worth the effort as was the steep track down to the sea! There is a plethora of nearby restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets to choose from and whatever one's choice of watersport there is the opportunity to indulge in it almost on the doorstep. Our week there was everything we hoped it would be and we would certainly recommend Villa Vista to anyone looking for a holiday in that part of Croatia.

A wonderful, beautiful place to stay.

We stayed at Villa Vista for the first week of August, we had visited Croatia and Hvar previously. We are a family of six, and another family of four joined us. There was plenty of room, no one got on top of one another, the house was clean, welcoming and airy.The outside space was great especially with the stone oven! When we arrived we had all the basic things like washing up liquid, loo roll, salt and pepper, herbs, olive oil, milk, fruit...brilliant!!! Just makes such a massive difference, not having to buy all the staples for just a week. The house is in an incredible location, Viganj itself is lovely too, no other English people at all!!! Very good! The local people are so helpful, especially Ivan and Tonchi in the tourist office. We will definitely come back .My third daughter who does not especially like leaving the farm wants to return this year, and actually so do I! A week was not really long enough to do all we wanted to. Sorry, a too long review I expect, my texts end up too long also!

We never wanted to leave

I stumbled across Villa Vista when trawling the net looking for a tranquil, off-the-tourist map home-from-home in Croatia. It offered everything we were after and more. Our family of 4 and our friends and their kids spent 2 weeks at Villa Vista It was a magical holiday we will all never forget. The villa has spectacular views with amazing sunsets and can easily accommodate families of all ages and offers many sleeping options. We did not need a thing, the villa had everything and we all felt instantly at home. Many hours were spent at the pool, and at the beach, which was an easy stroll down the hill, and those who needed peace and quiet could easily find somewhere to escape. A restaurant, bar or coffee shop was only a walk or a few minutes away and many Krone were spent in the local wine farms. So many of the other little bays and historic cities were within easy driving distance from the villa and we tried our best to see as much as we could. Many thanks to Jane and all the helpful staff who were just lovely, organising ‘anything and everything’ that we needed. Croatia is a beautiful country and Villa Vista just made it that all the more special for our first visit. We will definitely be back.

Beautifully restored villa with amazing views

We had a fabulous holiday at Villa Vista. The villa was more beautiful and well kitted out than even the photos suggest. Having 4 proper double bedrooms (plus bunk room) and 3 bathrooms was ideal for a mixed party of couples and a family holidaying together like ours. The view from the terrace was stunning and the local area lovely with lots of options to explore. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The terrace with the big stone table and barbecue was perfect for enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner and having the pool a little way away down some steps was great with a toddler as we were able to control his movements! Everyone in our party - from 2 years to 70 - had a fantastic time. We loved it so much we are hoping to return next year!
