"Really enjoyed our stay here! Very comfortable, air conditioning was great, staff was helpful, and in a busy but quiet area. Would definitely stay again"

"The hotel is OK just for 1 night stay. It's like approximately 30 minutes from the tourists attractions in Rome.
Hotel is very outdated and needs a renovation especially the bathroom. "

This is an old-fashioned Bed & Breakfast in a charming house within walking distance of Ostia Antica, an archaeological site worth a full day. Our hosts were a lovely couple, kind and helpful. They provided a great breakfast buffet, and made me excellent cappucinos. They also recommended a good restaurant and called a taxi for us before we left. We would definitely stay here again.

They claim to have airport transfer service and I agreed to be picked-up at my arrival. When I called them from Fiumicino airport they told me they had no drivers available for me.
I had to take an expansive taxi because there is no public transport from the airport. For the way back the gave me the transfer at a cost of 25,00 Eur

Świetny, niedrogi hotel przy plaży, mieliśmy widok na morze. Jest parking hotelowy 12 euro za dzień, jednak my korzystaliśmy z bezpłatnego parkingu wzdłuż ulicy przy hotelu. Dobre śniadania i kawa.

It was great end of our stay in Rome before flying back. Romantic sunset on beach walk 5mins from the hotel and next day in 15mins at airport for flight. And the lady at reception desk is so kind, you really feel welcome.

We had the best 5 night stay here, the staff were incredibly friendly and the facilities were excellent. I really appreciated the two free glasses of Prosecco on the rooftop bar to get settled in. The location is very central and easy walking distance to all the main sites. And in August heat, the air conditioning was much appreciated. The only downside was the building next door is under going construction which you could hear throughout the day but we were mostly out exploring so it didn’t...

Doreen and all of the staff are the best!! We arrived on June 21st after being awake all night with two young boys, they had our room ready by 11:00 AM. They were accommodating, very clean, extremely kid-friendly, and understanding of unique large families and their special quirks. We then left on the 23rd for a cruise and when we came back we had originally booked the Mecure hotel because we wanted the boys to have a pool in the afternoon. The other hotel did not have anywhere near the same...

Lovely little family owned hotel. We had a one night stay over while waiting for our flight and from check in to check out it was lovely. It’s an unusual hotel that celebrates its family history in the artefacts and decoration.
A little dated in places, but equally, reflecting a more relaxed, charming and attentive quality of service that is sadly missing in so many of the chain hotels of today.
Special mention to the staff, especially Marianna and Jacobo on reception who were just...

Ostia is known for being walkable and relaxing with many neighborhood options for restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Many visitors come to bask in its beautiful outdoor settings, namely the sea and beaches. Hotels in Ostia provide a good starting point for sightseeing in and around the Rome area.
Sightseeing around Ostia
The area's storied past is told through the historic sites and ruins. Sights like Museo Nazionale delle Arti e Tradizioni Popolari, Museum of Roman Civilization, and Montemartini Museum offer insight into the local culture. Swing by Castello di Giulio II, Ostia Antica, and Roman Ruins of Ostia Antica to learn about local history. Palazzo della Civilta Italiana, Abbazia delle Tre Fontane, and Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls are some local landmarks. Bring the family to Cinecitta World, Hydromania, and Mediterraneum Aquarium Rome.
Popular activities in the area include shopping, camping, and swimming. Macchiagrande Oasis, Villa Doria Pamphili, or Passeggiata del Gianicolo are ideal spots to enjoy the outdoors. Surround yourself with nature at Villa Chigi Park. Plan to do some shopping while in town? Consider Parco Leonardo, da Vinci Market Central, and Castel Romano Outlet. Parco de' Medici Golf Club, Euroma2, and PalaLottomatica are other spots for some local fun.
Some of the area's most popular sights are St. Peter's Basilica, Roman Forum, and Circus Maximus. Biomedical Campus Rome, White Gallery, and Zoomarine are other must-sees.
Getting around Ostia
To see the sights outside of town, hop aboard a train. Rome Acilia Station is the closet train station, but Rome Castel Fusano Station and Rome Casal Bernocchi - Centro Giano Station are also nearby.
At 5.6 miles (9.1 km), Rome (FCO-Fiumicino - Leonardo da Vinci Intl.) is the closest major airport to Ostia. You can also fly in and out of Rome (CIA-Ciampino), which is located 13.3 miles (21.4 km) away.
