Welcome to The Denby Cabin on Pender Island. ***Prior to booking, please read through the description and rules to ensure that this property is suitable to what you're looking for, taking into consideration that this is a family home and we have put in a lot of hard work into making it a peaceful family retreat. We want you to have a great time enjoying all that the island has to offer while being respectful of your surroundings (we are in a protected area), our home and our neighbours.
Please respect our rules: Pet free - Sorry, we love pets but are not set up to accommodate. Please note that SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED on the property. Parties/events are strictly not allowed. No candles or open fires. Guests listed on the reservation are the only ones permitted in the home.

Here are some descriptive info about the property:

The Denby sits on a high bank overlooking the Swanson Channel, a major pathway for Orcas & Humpbacks that will often swim close to the bank as they pass by. You will definitely want to keep a look out!. Your views consists of the Olympic mountains, Moresby Island which lies straight ahead, while Vancouver Island is just beyond. Stuart Island and the San Juan Islands to the left. Salt Spring Island to the right. The property gets full picturesque sun rise and sunsets. The Island's ferry traffic are a dreamy sight all lit up at night. This beautiful scenery is visible from the open concept living room, the fully equipped kitchen, and continue on to a main deck and patio with BBQ & hottub. A separate TV room along with a laundry/pantry room & full bathroom with tub, completes the main floor.
The upper level leads to the master bedroom (king bed) with it’s own private deck. There are also two additional bedrooms, they each have one queen bed. There is one full bathroom on this floor.
Your space consists of a fully fenced yard and parking spots just outside of the main gate. Park by shop and follow the winding pathway to gate. From there, you will have full privacy of this gated section.
We are about twelve minutes from the ferry terminal. Minutes to Driftwood shopping centre, restaurants, public beach access, marinas including Thieves bay (whale watching), golf & disc course, & trails. The boat nook is a wonderful place to visit and is only a 12-15mins walk, or a few mins car ride.
There is a propane fire pit that is available for use providing that you fill the propane tank as needed. There may be instances where the option of a propane fire might not be available and we will communicate this to you. There is absolutely no candles or any other flammable items permitted on this property. Thank you for your understanding. Please reach out if you have any other questions. Excellent Getaway

Gorgeous views and coastal wildlife viewing from the decks, a very well stocked and convertible getaway. The hot tub and fire pit were an added bonus, while North and South Pender Islands were fun to explore!

Peaceful Pender Retreat

We had a lovely time at this property! It is quite something to wake up to this amazing view every morning. We enjoyed soaking in the views from the deck and our boys loved being able to dip in the hot tub at the end of the day. The place is organized and clean, kitchen is well stocked, and it was a perfect location for our yearly Pender family getaway!

We've rented so many vacation homes, this is the most satisfactory place. The place is exceptionally clean, the kitchen supplies are incredible. The panoramic view is fantastic. The owners are so considerate.

Communication with the property manager was quick. House itself is beautiful and well equipped. Like that the kitchen drawers were labelled with what they stored. Made finding and putting utensils away so much easier

Spectacular Views and sunsets!

Our family had the opportunity to visit Pender Island and our accommodations were really great. The home was well stocked with dishes, appliances and bathroom toiletries. It was very clean and well maintained. The view of the ocean from the front deck was absolutely incredible, saw some Orcas and the sunsets were really beautiful. The only thing that we would request from the owners is to have screens on the patio doors and the bedroom windows. We loved the fresh ocean air and breeze, but it was challenging as there were plenty of wasps during the day and mosquitos at night. Otherwise, I would highly recommend for a very quiet, relaxng getaway.

We very much enjoyed our three-night stay at the Denby Cabin. For just the two of us, it was ideal. The views of the Pacific Ocean are unmatched. The hot tub was functional, and the furnishings throughout were comfortable. The king-sized bed and bedding were deluxe! And we loved the quiet, serene neighbourhood. Thank you, hosts. We would book again!

The views were amazing!

The perfect place to relax and the views were spectacular! Stayed with 4 other friends and the place had everything needed, from face towels specifically for makeup to extra throw blankets. The deck and hot tub were the icing on the cake, we spent hours sitting on the deck enjoying the views and even saw whales swim by. Everything was very clean, even the outdoor spaces. We would definitely come back again!

BEAUTIFUL SPACE & BREATHTAKING VIEWS

Four good friends enjoyed a very peaceful and comfortable stay. The hosts were great and responded quickly to any questions. The property is beautiful and well maintained, and house itself is easy to settle in and enjoy right away. Everything is thoughtfully organized, labelled and well-stocked with conveniences making you feel at home. The view is absolutely stunning! We especially loved the deck view with sights of wildlife, ocean crafts and carriers. The hot tub was a treat.We would all love to stay in this beautiful place again!

Absolutely recommend staying here, it’s even better than the online reviews suggest. Four friends had more than enough room to eat, drink and be merry in Denby cabin! The house is so comfortable and well appointed it’s easy to settle in and start having fun. Best hot tub spot, with the most breathtaking view.

Stunning views

The house is in a great location with stunning views. It was perfect for our family (grandparents, parents and two little ones) with plenty of space and facilities. The owners were really helpful. And then there's the outside , the wildlife is impressive, during our short stay we were lucky enough to see deer, humming birds, bald eagles and a pod of Orcas swimming just below. Finally, i should not forget to mention the back wall of the yard which would interest any amateur geologists visiting. We really had a great stay..

Just what we needed….

A great home with all that we needed for relaxation, comfort and convenience. Views were amazing and the hot tub was used twice a day! Comfortable bedrooms and 2 lounge areas gave our family of 5 plenty of space to be together or find a quiet corner to read a book.

We loved this cabin the moment we opened the gate and we sad to leave upon locking up at the end of our stay. It is private, quiet, clean, well appointed, and comfortable for our group of 5 to spread out and relax. The views are just incredible at all times of the day and regardless of the weather. View to die for

This property is extremely well maintained. Everything is labeled and easy to find. The location is beautiful and the house is gorgeous and every convenience imagined is there. The beds are high end and very comfortable. We would love to go back again. The oceanfront view is awesome.

Beautiful space and gorgeous views

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen was very well equipped and the space in general was very comfortable. The view from the decks can’t be beat with lots of wildlife around that kept us entertained. Vernisa is a great host that responded quickly when we had questions. We loved our stay here - 2 nights was too short. Hope to be back sometime soon!

Breathtaking!

The cabin is meticulously clean and amazingly well-stocked. The view is absolutely stunning! We loved relaxing in the hot tub on a cold, stormy night. We’ve crossed Pender off our list of islands to visit but I can’t imagine never getting to stay in this wonderful place again. 😊
