COVID-19 may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't halted our passion for exploring. Here are some tips on how to deal with travel's new challenges:

• Understand the restrictions and rules in both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so check in advance.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. Be prepared to adjust your mask for ID purposes when asked.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Instead, place your pass on the reader and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
• You're permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. You'll need to remove it for screening.
• To minimize handling during screening, place personal items such as your wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on instead of into the bins.
• If you're bringing food through the screening checkpoint, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
