"Title: Constructive Feedback on Recent Stay – Areas for Improvement I recently stayed at this property and wanted to leave balanced, honest feedback to help both the hotel and future guests. While I appreciate the team’s efforts, several issues impacted my comfort and overall experience. The room itself was not fully ready upon arrival. The duvet cover had a prominent red-brown stain that strongly resembled a blood stain. This was concerning from a hygiene perspective and should have been caught during housekeeping turnover. Temperature control was another challenge. The air conditioning was unable to cool the room adequately despite being reported to the front desk. The space remained uncomfortably warm throughout the stay. One evening we lost water pressure for over two hours, eliminating the possibility of taking a shower. The issue was finally resolved close to 10:00 p.m., which was quite inconvenient. In addition, the bathroom was missing facecloths upon check-in. The swimming pools were noticeably murky with poor water clarity, making them unappealing for use. Regular maintenance or improved filtration appears to be needed. Smoking policies were not well enforced during my visit. Guests were smoking in various common areas, and I observed cigarette butts on the elevator floor—an enclosed public space—which affected the environment for non-smokers. "The hot water was out for nearly two days and I got food poisoning from a sandwich I had. There are so many rules and restrictions that they are very selective on who they do and don’t apply to. This place is horrible and I’m never staying here again."

"I’m giving the hotel a rating of stars because I do believe that’s an appropriate rating for this place. We only ate at the buffet and the bar snacks and found the food underwhelming. It was edible but we mostly ate off the resort as we wanted authentic Mexican food. Drinks were very strong; be careful lol. 95% of the staff were great but comparing to other resorts, a lot of the staff we walked past looked unhappy. Shout out to Danell and Carlos at the pool! These guys made all the difference for me. Carlos works his bum off and Danell just made me feel welcome and valued. The rooms were the biggest problem for me, no fan in the bathroom makes the room smell mildew. The tile floors look dingy and my shower head was garbage. The fridge is not stocked with drinks or water. Beach bar was awesome, I loved it there but you need to know beach peddlers will be on you all the time. Lastly the location was lacking. We often had to cab or uber to get to places like the marina or romantic zone. Safety was never a concern. "

"It was a very disappointing experience. First day, the room was not clean and toilet was dirty. A few days later some cleaner put used and almost finished toilet paper for us to use, how unsanitary and disgusting! Then some guy rather than apologize tried to gaslight me telling me it was new until I showed him a picture. Cleaners do not want to clean, period. Location was really nice, that "

"We’ve been coming to the Villa Del Palmar for 10+ years and always feel well taken care of. We participated in a variety of the activities provided, especially beach volleyball, paddle boarding, and pickleball. The activities coordinators are top notch! They were always quick to help in getting the court watered so we could play, morning and afternoon! We especially appreciated Carlos in getting our beach chairs set up with an umbrella each day! He went out of his way each day to make sure we had what we needed, many times before we even asked! We look forward to our next trip to the Villa! "

"Beautiful views from rooms, clean, modern, and comfortable. Spa service was excellent. Friendly kind staff. A great place for families or the younger crowd. This is not a quiet relaxing resort. Lots of loud music throughout the day into the evening/night. Some confusion with meals first day, as not an open all day buffet. We arrived early afternoon and had trouble getting food at that time for my daughter who was pregnant. The food was good. Not sure if connected, however 3/5 of us got ill a couple days in. Beautiful beach, lots of vendors as expected."

"The hotel is decent for a three-star rating. The food is good—quite varied and tasty. The only downside is that entertainment, including the disco or evening shows, requires an extra fee. Because of that, the evenings can be rather скучно (a bit boring). Overall, it’s okay for a three-star hotel."
