Whether you’re planning a multi-family vacation, a nature-focused getaway with friends, or a quiet retreat to unwind and recharge, Olympic Foothills Lodge is your serene sanctuary on the Olympic Peninsula.
The Lodge: Spacious, Cozy, and Perfect for Groups
With accommodations for up to 16 guests, the Lodge features 4 well-appointed bedrooms, a large loft, and 5 full bathrooms—including one with a traditional hot rock sauna. The master suite is located on the main floor, providing added privacy and convenience. Upstairs, the bedrooms and loft offer flexible sleeping arrangements for families and groups of all sizes.
This is not just a place to sleep—it's a space designed to gather, relax, and reconnect.
Gourmet Kitchen & Dining Spaces
The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and ready for everything from pancake breakfasts to multi-course dinners. With high-end appliances, generous counter space, and cookware galore, it’s a joy for home chefs.
Enjoy meals at the large indoor dining table for ten, or take it outdoors to the wrap-around covered porch, complete with a gas BBQ grill and cozy seating area—perfect for morning coffee or sunset dinners.
Unplug, Slow Down, and Reconnect
The lodge is intentionally designed without TVs, encouraging guests to disconnect from screens and tune into nature, creativity, and each other. Instead, you'll find a library stocked with books, a game table for cards and board games, and a baby grand piano in the parlor for spontaneous music and reflection.
With free WiFi throughout the home, you can still stay connected when needed—but we highly recommend taking a break from the buzz.

well maintained, spacious, and well stocked lodge with everything you could need! the property is so private and expansive and we enjoyed exploring the hiking trails. we would definitely come again!!
The convenience of Port Angeles, with the central location to explore the natural beauty of the area. Thx Steve, for your hosting of our little adventure.
This is our second time visiting The Lodge and we were so happy to be back! Love the induction cooktop and well-stocked kitchen, enjoyed the firepit and s'mores, the hot tub and sauna, and sightseeing nearby. It is a fantastic place for family gatherings and we hope to return again.
We loved the abundant space, the wood burning stove, the piano, the badminton and other outdoor games, wood chopping, the backyard trails, the hot tub, the outdoor fire pit and bbq and the nicely appointed kitchen. It was a great place for our three generation family vacation to Olympic Natl Park and Victoria BC.
The house is beautiful, well maintained and exceptionally functional, especially if you have a larger family! If you have a piano player in your group, this is a perfect lodge to allow your musician to fill the house with music. The sauna is the cherry on top, so perfect after a long day hiking in Olympic National Park.
This is an amazing lodge located near Olympic National Park. It has tons of amazing amenities including hot tub, sauna, campfire, hiking trails, NO TV, and more. Can’t recommend it enough - and try the waffle mix!
Property was beautiful and it was in an amazing location. It was great for our family gathering. Plenty of room for everyone. Location was great for driving to Port Angeles and Sequim, as well as Olympic National Park. The beaches and rainforest were great too. So many things fun things to do. As stated, great location. Communication with the host was great. House was perfect for our needs. Only one issue....you need new pillows in the bedrooms...lol. Thank you for everything.
The Lodge was in great shape with plenty of documentation about where things were and how to operate everything. Good selection of spices and other items for cooking in the kitchen. Enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, firepit and trails. Very quiet.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the lodge and the well stocked kitchen had everything we needed. In fact the lodge had everything we needed. It was a great experience and the communication with the property manager and owner was top notch. I would absolutely stay at the lodge again.
We can’t say enough good things about the property and owners. We were contacted ahead of time with information on what was available at the house and where we should shop for groceries on our way in. Everything is wonderfully organized and the house is furnished with everything you would ever need. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed for three nights for a family reunion. There were 16 of us. The house is beautiful, and has an exceptional kitchen! We enjoyed the fire pit and backyard for games. It was quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds in the morning and owls at night! The hot tub and sauna were a big hit. I live in Port Angeles so know the area well, but it was a treat to stay at this beautiful getaway, which is an easy launch for many things to explore on the OP. Would stay again!
This was an amazing place to stay, and we were all impressed with how well organized everything was with the multitude of labels and directions. You name it, and the host had thought of it! Earplugs in every bedside table, etc. Exploring the “magic” forest in the back yard, finding banana slugs, hiking in Olympic National Park, bathing in the hot tub, cooking s’mores and hot dogs over an open fire, basking in the sauna, the spaciousness, comfortable sleeping, are just a few of the wonderful aspects of OLF Lodge. It was so well equipped for family members of all ages! Absolutely wonderful place!
The fourteen of us, ranging from 75 to 9 years of age, loved staying at this comfortable and well appointed home. Everything was easy to find and use, thanks to the owner's guides and instructions. The five grandkids spent their evenings exploring the grounds and playing games. The adults were happy to relax on the deck. Beds were comfortable and the well equipped and roomy kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The house was very clean. We especially loved the location - quiet and remote, yet within easy access to the northern parts of the Olympic peninsula and Olympic National Park, our primary reason for coming to Washington. We would definitely stay there again.
This is the second time our family stayed at the lodge. Plenty of bathrooms. The wonderful sauna. The little kids love to hike the trails around the house. We all love to jog and walk the road out to the highway. So close to all the Olympic park trails as well as beaches. We use the fire pit for s’mores and conversation. Big comfortable table for all our family meals. Such a well appointed and easy to use kitchen. Corn hole and running around the big yard. Non stop fun for our family.
For a visit to the Olympic Peninsula this could not have been better. Well maintained and stocked house that had everything that we needed and more. Loved the sauna, firepit and hot tub and the little trails down into the woods. The layout of the home was very nice with 3 BRs upstairs and the master BR downstairs. Was perfect for our family of 5. Feels remote but you are only 10 minutes from stores/services etc. Easy access to the Park entrance to Hurricane Ridge and especially to the Deer Park entrance. Don't let the 8-mile dirt road deter you, it is spectacular up there!
Thanks - we will be back.
Perfect home in the woods to disconnect and detangle from the internet world! We spent the Thanksgiving week with large family gathering, cooked food, hiked trails and explored beauty of Olympic National Forest. We had an unexpected visitor while warming up on backyard hot tub though! Master chief Larion, a friendly dog from far neighborhood was hanging around the property for a while, but the children were slightly spooked by the big sized dog interrupting soccer play! Steve helped bringing in another neighbor to help put the lost dog in garage however it was soon gone and learned he’s a frequent visitor from neighbors quarter mile away. Other than that we enjoyed the stay in this beautifully updated home and would love to come back.
We knew we were coming to the Port Angeles area to explore the State Park, the shoreline and the beautiful PNW. What we did not expect was that the Foothills Lodge property was going to be an attraction in and of itself.
The lodge is pristine and obviously well maintained. And the owner took great personal care to anticipate and plan for all of his guests, with helpful reminders and insights tactfully placed throughout.
There is no TV. And it was commented by many in our group that that was one of the very best features. With all of the amenities and ample space to gather (and spread out) and enjoy the company of friends, we never missed it.
Perfect central location for the new Port Angeles visitor. We were never more than 20 minutes away from any of our various excursions and vacations stops.
I visited with ten of my friends from college. The space was not only spacious but meticulously organized, labeled, and it was a breeze finding anything we needed. The kitchen had every tool you could need for cooking and the kitchen is gorgeous.
The entire place is absolutely stunning and it’s just like in the photos. The host was very kind and communicative and we felt so relaxed and at ease.
It’s close enough to town that it was easy getting groceries or going out but far enough to feel like you’re surrounded by beautiful wilderness. Coming from New York I’d never seen so many stars!
It’s perfect for any age and large groups. There was 11 of us and it never felt cramped. We did bring our own projector screen because there’s no TV but it’s perfect without any screens if you want to get away from them. The hot tub and sauna were so relaxing and the proximity to the national park was very convenient.
Best vacation rental I’ve had so far.
Excellent accommodation for our family of 16 for Thanksgiving. The lodge has everything you could possibly need. There are no TV’s but we didn’t mind. There are a lot of games and the hot tub and sauna were perfect.
