Good continental breakfast which can be taken on the outside terrace if you want to. Diana and Elisabeth on the front desk are very helpful indeed. "Great stay for an excellent price and wonderful breakfast the next morning. Good views from our rooftop balcony made for a great evening and morning sit. The air-con works well, and I really enjoyed the unique shower arrangement (you have to unfold the shower enclosure from the wall) which gives you a spacious bathroom when you don't need the shower.
The front desk and staff are very accommodating, and did their best with my inability to speak Italian! There is a nice children's park next door...

I ordered a bottle of wine and they sent another that was 3 times the price without telling me.
They threw us out because they said they had to set up for breakfast while they had other tables still sitting. We were still drinking our wine.
The only person that was nice at this place was the person at reception.

"We loved La Monastica. The property is beautiful and secluded above the town. It’s very quiet except for the tower bell which seems to ring on the hour 24hours per day. The food was good, the service very attentive and professional and the room was high standard. We would stay again. "

"Grand hotel Cappuggi did not disappoint. I stayed with my 3 children for 10 nights end of june , start of july. Very reasonably priced 4* hotel experience haf by all. A little out of town (2 miles) but free shuttle bus (or taxi if not available) shows excellent customer care. Receptionists very helpful, cleaners nice and cheerful. Fabulous swimming pool essential in 38° temperatures. Football and tennis available. Ball provided keeping my boys well entertained. Thiroughly recommend this hotel as a point from where to explore Tuscany and further afield.
