This stay was great. The cabin was very cute and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the hot showers were very nice after camping. The location was beautiful and so peaceful.
No faults - we had the best time. The house is super cozy and quaint. Animals are friendly and super cute. Highly recommend booking a trail ride - even if you can't ride, just do it, you'll have the best time.
The ranch was very nice. Loved seeing all the animals every day. Everything was clean, and we appreciated the board games and activities that were provided. It was a good recharge after being on the vegas strip
This was such a fun little weekend getaway for us from Vegas. A quick 50 minute drive that took us to a completely different place. We went on an amazing horseback riding tour, ate some delicious meals, and just enjoyed being on the ranch. The tiny house was perfect for the weekend!
Exactly as advertised! We had a great overnight stay, enjoyed visiting the animals after sunrise, and welcomed the hearty ranch-style breakfast provided by Yuri. Worth the $20 per plate!

The Tiny House in the Mojave Desert was one of the most fun and unique stays that I have had in a long time. The House is indeed a "tiny house" but one that has everything that you need. The environment around Sandy Valley is stunningly beautiful and being on the ranch is a great "get away from it all" trip with an area for a campfire and/or a grill, under a dark sky with a billion stars. Very unique and cozy place to stay in an outdoor location that you'll remember forever!
This place was perfect!!! The house was clean and comfortable! We loved the fire pit outside and the property was quiet and beautiful.

Over all WONDERFUL stay. The only thing that threw us was that during the cold months the pipes tend to freeze so in the morning it's a bit of a struggle to get water pressure, shower, or use the toilet unless you have some bottles of water to pour into the toilet. But other than that we loved staying at the Hummingbird :)
I absolutely loved staying here. The host was attentive and so kind. I will definitely be staying here on a regular basis!
If you are considering booking here, I would!
I got very lucky to come out on a partially cloudy night because the stars were apparent, and I can’t imagine being there on a night with clear skies. 💕
We stayed just one night before going to the Mojave National Preserve. Rob is a gracious host and The Hummingbird is a great miniature house. We enjoyed a stunning sunset and a fire. We also enjoyed the animals and a lovely breakfast.
This place was very quiet and the few people we met were friendly. The tiny house is comfortable but the sleeping area gets quite hot and the air conditioner is a bit loud. You need to call to arrange meals in advance, but the food is great if you do. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the farm animals.

I needed a place for a remote work project and this place was ideally located. This was a quaint, cozy and slightly rustic little place. But I don't know if I've ever slept so well. The loft bed was super comfortable and the little windows on both sides allowed for a perfect crisp cross breeze. The 'living' area provided everything I needed but again, a bit rustic. But I was always comfortable. The ranch property was ... a ranch. But the handful of interactions with the ranch staff was always friendly. But know, this little place is remote. So local shopping & dining in 'town' really isn't an option. I brought most of my own food/drink so didn't have an opportunity to test the dining they offer. I'd definitely return for another visit.
My partner and I, our daughter (5), and our young dog stayed at the Hummingbird for our first visit to Sandy Valley Ranch. We arrived at 3 pm for check-in. It was hot (to be expected) but the desert cools down fast as soon as the sun goes down. There's a small AC unit that cools the house down quickly.
The spot is simple and sweet. Birds everywhere (including nesting in the awning of the house which my daughter loved). The house is right near the road which is not busy at all- but we didn't feel comfortable letting our dog run loose. We immediately felt welcome wandering around the ranch. There are goats, horses, free-range pigs, chickens, and some nice, friendly working dogs (a chihuahua, a heeler, and a german shepherd). The people working at the ranch were very welcoming.
The fold-out couch is very small but firm. The little loft is so cozy and offers a great view of the sunrise. The little hummingbird stain glass window was a favorite. They have everything you need including spices and a coffee maker.
We didn't need wi-fi so didn't use it and had no problem getting cell coverage. The shower is adequate but not something to look forward to.
We will be back, but with the three of us plus the dog, we might go ahead and book the next-door wagon. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Ein sehr schönes kleines Häuschen. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Es ist sehr einfach eingerichtet, luxus sucht man hier vergebens. War von uns aber auch nicht gewollt.
Das Haus befindet sich auf einer Ranch. Wer Ruhe mag, ist hier richtig. Landschaftlich wunderschön...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property was clean and well maintained. You do have to come with the understanding that being as secluded as it is it’s going to be a little rustic, example: to lock the bathroom door you put a piece of wood across the door, that is the type of stay we were looking for so we had a great time.

I wasn’t able to stay due to my dog not being able to climb the ladder. I don’t think it had a tv? The couch if you couldn’t access the ladder is very small and inadequate for sleeping. It’s cute though if you want to look into tiny living.
Husband & I enjoyed our stay. Tiny home was clean & very cozy. I enjoyed the animals on the ranch. Sandy was very friendly. Thanks for sharing your tiny home with us!
My husband and I were in the area to visit the deserts and parks. The Hummingbird was a lovely way to have a cozy place to sleep, as well as sit by a nice fire at night and watch the stars come out. It can get warm up in the loft bed, so be aware of that if you’re staying during the summer. The kitchen staff was very nice and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the ranch house. I enjoyed taking some early morning walks around and saying hi to the animals.

A little to rustic for us but we tried😊
We want to do a little outdoorsy fun the tiny house was a little too tiny my hubby is 6”4 and he just didn’t fit. lol We didn’t end up staying unfortunately but walked around a bit and met some of the animals and enjoyed the scenic drive in! (Excluding the interesting flags on certain property!) All in all a awesome place for the right kind of people!!😉
