"Really liked the concept, nicely decorated and loved the diner. Downfall was room wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived. Stains all down the door where something had been spilt, a bad smell due to something left in the toilet from before we arrived! Air con didn’t work as it had a maintenance symbol on it, but luckily they brought us a fan. Food was lovely in the diner however and we would still like to return one day"

"The staff were lovely and the attached restaurant was great. Sadly our room (11) was run down with lots of problems. The shower was broken so it was hard to set the temperature - an issue with a child. I found the beds to be very soft - something I'm not used to. The worst part though was a large fan outside the room that ran all day and night making it very noisy. As the room overlooked the smoking area if anyone smokes it infiltrates the room. The car park was very tight as well. "

"The Market Tavern is a little gem and a very welcome find! Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, nice room and bar / restaurant. The star of the show is the food which was superb. A small menu but this means everything is good quality. Prices are reasonable - and worth every penny. With many restaurants now asking £35-45 for a steak, my steak at the Market Tavern was just £24. Ok, it wasn't a fillet or a rib-eye, it was a rump (a so called inferior cut!) But the chef here knows that it's about the cooking and not the cut! Well cooked, tasty and satisfying - all at a great price! What more could you want! A clever move that will bring in the punters! The breakfast (included in the room rate) was also excellent. We have friends in the area and just needed an over night stay so this will definitely be our go to place when we're in the area. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly - we'll be back!"

"I stay in hotels all the time for work, so like to think I know my stuff. This hotel is brilliant, great price point and great value fro money. The staff excellent, couldn’t be more helpful and pleasant. Evening meal was very good and breakfast was 10/10. Room decor was nice, great size room 10/10 location great. Don’t hesitate to book this super duper hotel."

"Great location for exploring Burford. Hotel rooms are lovely but some areas a little tired. Unfortunately we had slightly louder guests above our room and footsteps/talking can be heard pretty clearly. Other than that the food was lovely in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and staff very friendly and welcoming. "

"Good sized room (in annexe). Comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff. Drinks quite expensive (or possibly overcharged…?) Lovely location overlooking green and 2min walk to main town for lots of pubs & cafes. Easy car parking. "

"I had a truly exceptional stay at The Snooty Mehmaan. The experience began even before I arrived, thanks to a thoughtful courtesy call to confirm my check-in. Upon arrival, I was greeted with genuine warmth, and the staff kindly escorted my luggage to a room that was both stunning and impeccably clean. The highlight, however, was the evening meal. Every dish featured incredibly fresh ingredients and was presented with real elegance. I have already booked my return visit and cannot recommend this gem highly enough. "
