Stayed for 1 night as other hotels I had tried were very noisy due to other residents (yes you Green Isle Hotel).
This was very comfortable and best of quiet at night. The local town was small but had a good steakhouse (directions given ) but most important was a good nights sleep. If you are going here don't use the Hotels.com directions they are useless, but do go into the town and it is signposted from there

This is an independent personal review of the place. The better half and I were traveling through Ireland and decided to call this place a home for the night. What an awesome place. The location is rural but the views are stunning. The rooms themselves are very clean, tidy and comfortable. The owners take hospitality seriously and treat you like special guests. A must stay place in RedGap.

Couldn't have been any more pleasant. Sean & Elizabeth were great hosts. The best breakfast we've had in a long time. Advice on our first holiday in Ireland was much appreciated!
A brief stay, arriving at gone 10pm and leaving ten hours later! Finding it was fun but fortunately the taxi next to the pub in Rathcoole's Main Street knows where it is and there were still lights on and a friendly reception when I arrived (and I wasn't the latest to be guiltily knocking on the door that night.
The hosts were very accommodating with my earlier breakfast - I'd said not to worry, I'd just have cereals and fruit, but a cooked breakfast was served as well - and very helpful when an arranged taxi failed to turn up at 8am. The lady of the house has a very useful way of getting results, it seems!
It was, as I said, a brief visit, which was a shame because the views and location invite longer appreciation.
Delighted with our stay. The room was perfect. It had everything you would need and extra! The breakfast was delicious. The location was great and ideal for heading south the following morning. I would definitely recommend Bearna Rua and look forward to staying there again.
Rooms and ensuites a little small. Room always clean.Hotel owners great people, good sense of fun, always ready to help and advise on sites to visit etc.Breakfasts great, at last smomebody who can cook a fried egg with a nice runny yolk yet fully cooked white. Tram service nearby gets you into centre of dublin in approc 30 minutes. Parking for tram 5 euros all day.
