Wish they had some signage so we would have known we were standing across the street when we asked a stranger if they knew where the place was. The shower was tiny and water flooded the floor no matter what we did to keep it from happening. Great location.

Wonderful location just off the center of the city. Comfortable and clean apartment. Felt very safe for a solo traveler. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave. I didn’t use the other appliances. Bed was comfy and shower was fantastic. Host communication was excellent. Convenient luggage storage if you get in early, or if you are leaving the city well after check out.

Super comfortable, clean, and spacious. Only drawbacks were that the airport is very close meaning you hear and see large planes flying very low overhead. They don't fly late into the night or start very early though, so it didn't detract from our stay other than startling us the first time. We also had a couple issues with the keypad at the front entry, but we were still able to get in. Amazing location and very lovely stay overall though! And parking was very easy to find.

We were very happy with our stay at Castle House. Location was great apartment was fine, we would have liked the floors to be a little cleaner or for there to be a broom or vacuum cleaner left for us to tidy up.

Best Hotel in Reykjavik

I like this property a lot. Very close to downtown Reykjavik and felt very safe here. It got a small kitchen where I can cook my meals and nice big room and bathroom. Would love to stay here again if I go back to beautiful and magical Iceland 😘

The apartment is well situated, with a nice view of the Pond. It has lots of litght, the kitchen is well equipped, the shower is good and the bed comfortable. The ability to leave luggage on-site prior to arrival or at departure was quite appreciated. The reason for our 4 of 5 is the electronic key entry system that constantly troubled us, and no one on site to help us. We did not have SIM cards on our phones, so reaching the office was hard at first til we tried WhatsApp and they were only somewhat helpful. Confusing to us was the early instructions about how to engage the system at the storage location and different instructions at the front door. Had someone been there to run us through the system, our stay would have been less stressful.

Great communication and directions to the property. Apartment in excellent location and easily walkable to Reykjavik centre with its many shops, supermarkets and eateries. On street parking available nearby which is payable but plenty of spaces available. Accommodation was as described and had everything we needed, serving as a great base from which to explore Iceland.

An okay apartment for a good vacation

Its a nice apartment in a perfect location but not a luxury apartment as they would call it but perfect for a city vacation. Very close to many of the places to see and close to the bus stops that will take you on the tours. You are forced to keep the window open at all time so at times it can be quite chill.

The aparrment was very comfortable and in an excellent location. It is quiet yet easily walkable to the grocery store, shopping and restaurants, and close to a bus stop. Check in was easy with clear instructions and responses to email were very quick. Highly recommend.

Great quiet location and walkable to dining , bus, and most attractions. Very clean. Comfy bed and quality linen and towels.If you are looking for a kitchen , this is perfect. It is a half basement but windows fare size.

The apartment was clean and had plenty of room for two people. We found the location very good since we walked from the bus terminal and also walked around town a lot. We were concerned about luggage storage, but it was available. There is a phone for local calls and in case anything is needed from the property manager.

Quiet area in Reykjavik but in walking distance to the Rainbow Street area. 5 minutes from a grocery shop. The apartment had all the right amenities supplied in the kitchen - toaster microwave, fridge etc that helped us make dinners rather than go out every night. Comfy bed and secure system to enter the property. Very quick communication from the owner. A pleasant stay.

The bed was comfortable and luckily we had day excursions because it was crowded and smelled like sewage and mold. We were in a small outbuilding not represented by the castle building photos advertised. We booked becuase we thought we were getting a luxery apartment. Instead we where in a converted shed or garage in the back of the building in the yard. We had to keep the window open to vent the smell. We had no view of anything but the back of the building. Could have gone to a hotel for same price and less hassle.

Great location near bus stops and restaurants and shopping streets. I needed information about where to leave luggage on our early arrival off a cruise ship. Email wasn’t replied to but luckily a resident was able to advise us to leave in the apartment lobby.
