Excellent location within walking distance to restaurants, stores and sites. Communication to let us know about early check in was great and service was great. Would definitely go back to this apartments again.

We loved everything about this location. Very clean apartment, even though it feels more like a small dorm room. We enjoyed all the shops, bars and restaurants one street up. Will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Great location a short walk from bus stop 6 making it ideal for transfers and day trip pick-ups / drop-offs. Kitchenette was really useful for making sandwiches for day trips.

It’s ok for one night
The location is in good proximity to all the major sites and clean. Close to everything you need. The apartment was fine for one night, but I do not recommend this place for families. It’s so small. Noise coming from the street below will keep you up all night. And street parking was difficult to find. Also, it’s on the second floor so be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs.

Dear Lisa. Thank you for your review. When you booked, as you notice as you booked the studio is 24 m2 with sofabed. As you booked down town you can never avoid the city noise. Also down town in every city at least capital cities there is not much of parking places all around. And also it appears at the booking channel that we are on the second floor. So nothing of this should have surprise you when you arrive according to all the information you had about this accomandation when you booked.Kind regards,Þorsteinn

Fantastic location, everything we wanted no more than 15 minutes walk away. Bit cosy but good what we needed it for, easily did breakfast and a few evening meals in the kitchen area. Bin etc emptied daily.

I really enjoyed my stay at this studio apartment. As my flight got in early, the manager made sure I had the code to leave my things safely store before having access to the apartment. The unit is close to the city's "main street" and even further activities like the National Museum or the Settlement Museum are in a walkable distance. Perfect!

It was very clean and office worker( owner)was very friendly. Location is excellent. Room was very clean but too small so don't take economy. You can smell food from Indian Restaurant down stairs.

I loved the location, it was so close to tge harbor, shopping restaurants and bus stops. The room was perfect, clean and modern. The noise from the street was annoying but did not reduce my time. I would stay here again.

Warm and comfortable stay. Great location too!
Just an overall great place. Ideal location for someone visiting since it is so close to all restaurants, shops and pick up spots for tours/airport. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. Loved the hot showers with good water pressure with the added bonus of towel warmer. The host could not have been more accommodating making sure we have everything we needed daily. Space is entirely up to you to decide what you would like to pay for and each room is reasonably priced. Don't expect the Four Seasons amenities, but if you plan on making the most of Iceland, there's no need. It is perfect for exploring Reykjavik and coming back to a comfortable and cozy place.

Great little apartments. Kitchen was small, but suited our needs as we really only did small meals there. The only issue I had with the property was that our window faced into a very narrow alley of sorts that didn’t allow for air flow. The room was very warm. They did provide a fan that made it a little better. Other than that it was great.

Very small and basic room- great location!
Tiny studio with hardly any room to move. Bed wasn’t comfortable due to having only one very soft pillow each and only one chair to share in the room. Also quite noisy on a busy road. Location is great though and the room was nice and clean and easy to access.

What l liked is Ingunn was excellent at communicating and accommodating, What I did not like is photos were deceiving, place is much smaller than the photos, kitchen did not have hot plates to cook

Slightly above average, but not 100% awesome.
Space adequate for up to 2 "average-sized" adults. I say this because if you are any larger than average, the shower will probably be uncomfortable. Pros: Clean and modern accommodations. Close walk to waterfront, bus stop 7, and the 24/7 store, 10-11 - though things in downtown Reykjavik are not far to walk to. Comfy bed, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, dishware, and utensils are provided. Cons: Although it was stated there is not 24/7 reception/concierge services, there was not a single moment in which reception was available during my stay - even when I knocked at 10:00 AM (which seems like a standard time people would be working). This is inconvenient for a place called a "hotel," because check-out time is 11:00 AM and I did not have to board a departing bus out of Reykjavik until 1:30 PM. I had to drag my suitcase and carry-on luggage all over the downtown instead of being able to request reception hold onto my baggage. Stayed 2 nights and housekeeping did not make my bed or wash my dishes (2 mugs + 1 spoon) after my first night - all they did was take out the trash.

We had a fantastic stay here. The location is excellent - very easy to find and very easy to get to both everything in the city and to go on excursions as Bus Stop Number 7 is just down the road. The hosts were so helpful and responded really quickly. The apartment was very clean and cosy and had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. We would 100% come back and stay again.

Great studio apartment in good location
The apartment itself is lovely. Clean and well maintained. The service we experienced was very good as well. The apartment is well located - and easy to walk to most places. I would definitely recommend Island Apartments. Only one small "but" - if you are a light sleeper, pack earplugs as there is noise from the road, and fellow guests are not always very considerate. These comments do not detracted from the fact that we did have a lovely stay - I just think it is important that people are aware of it.

The owners are so lovely and friendly.We had emailed ahead to say we were arriving early and would there be somewhere to drop our bags before check in and on arrival our apartment was ready and they checked us in early.We asked for extra pillows and they provided them no problem.Location is excellent just down the road from bus stop 7 where all tour operators pick up for trips.If your doing the whale watching you can walk about 7mins to Marina.The studio was spotless and had microwave and fridge would have been nice to have little table to sit and eat but very limited space in our room we had thought all rooms from pictures on Expedia had table and sofa but this is not the case so check what you are booking.However it was adequate for our stay.Clean towels were provided and toiletries if you needed them.Would highly recommend lovely comfortable bed and nice shower.

The apartment is easily accessible and in city center. The kitchen was useful and the bathroom was clean. The property manager was available to assist with an unforeseen luggage issue, even after-hours. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay in Reykjavik
We had only 24 hours in Reykjavik and just wanted a reasonably priced comfortable place to stay while exploring the city. That's a tall order in a place as expensive as Iceland but this studio fit the bill. It was clean, had comfortable beds, and was convenient to everything we wanted to see. I'll stay here again if I come back for a longer visit.

Island Apartments was beautiful and all that we required. The room wasn’t massive but it was nice a cosy. Everything was spotless and clean. It was minutes from the city and the nearest bus stop
