"It was our first time visiting Lisbon and I'm so glad we chose to stay at Hotel da Baixa. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the staff were great. Our room was wonderfully bright with high ceilings, a good sized bed and large bathroom. A special mention to Pedro for his outstanding hospitality and complimentary guided tour - an absolute must for first time visitors to this lovely city. The hotel itself is charming and centrally located for the many districts/areas to visit, all within walking distance or a short taxi/tram ride away. We will certainly be visiting again!"

"This is a nice hotel, but the rooms are small and the elevator is really small that brings you to your room. The breakfast is good, but not great, they do make good omelets with cheese or cheese and ham, but do not have bacon or sausage for those who might want that. The coffee is ok but not the greatest. They do have little cinnamon rolls and doughnuts and vegetarian quiche and ham and cheese quiche cut in small pieces for you for breakfast also cereal and fruit along with plain yogurt. This hotel is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, but some areas near the train station are sketchy. I would recommend this hotel but know the hotel is old and tiny. "

"I thought this would be an interesting experience. What I didn’t know, and the listing did not say, is that downstairs there is a bar where music plays until 4 in the morning! The BASE from it was vibrating in my bed 2 floors above it, so we could not sleep! Unfortunately, my booking was for 3 nights, but by midnight on the first night I was already looking for another hotel. When I complained about the noise, they offered me to move 1 floor higher, but I knew the music was blasting through the whole building, so I said I cannot stay for the remaining 2 nights and asked for a refund, which they denied. Do NOT book there if you are planning to sleep at all."
