The Rock House - 1 bdrm, 1 bath Salem Missouri Vacation Rental

Welcome to Salem Missouri! Come take in the beauty of the Ozarks! We are located close to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, approximately 2 hours south of St. Louis. Montauk State Park is located 35 minutes south and is one of Missouri’s premier trout fishing parks. Trout season opens in March and runs through October.
Echo Bluffs, the newest of the Missouri State Parks is located 32 miles south on Highway 19.
Our 1800’s refurbished cottage has one bedroom and a den. The master bedroom has the attached bath and a queen sized bed. A second area has a den with a double pull out sofa bed. The Little Rock house is equipped with towels, blankets, sheets, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and all kitchen and bath necessities.
Come enjoy our quiet Country Cottage at the edge of town and enjoy what the Ozarks has to offer; floating on the Current River, fishing at Montauk, or just sitting back and relaxing at the beauty of our scenic area.

Beautifully Restored 100 Year Old Home

This is a beautiful old home that's been restored. It's very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Salem is a great location and near so many national and state parks.

This is the second stay at this location. Came down to float the Current River. House is adorable, clean and easy to get to. Sandy even leaves some snacks which I find very sweet.

Quiet & cozy place to stay

Next time I am in Salem, I’m staying here again. The lady who runs this house was very easy to contact for any questions. She is more than accommodating and responds very fast. The bed is comfortable, the shower stays nice and hot. Easy access to everything in town. A very cozy place to be.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

I was in the area for a canoe trip and stayed at the quaint stone cottage and it was ideal! The privacy and serenity of the back yard was wonderful and the property was exceptionally well appointed. My boyfriend definitely over-indulged in the thoughtfully left snack basket! Thank you for the stay!

Lovely, clean, and central

My husband and I were in the area for some fishing and floating on the Current River. The Rock House suited our needs perfectly, as it allowed us a bit of comfort at the end of the day, a place to cook our meals, and a nearby array of restaurants and stores. The cottage, which has been renovated very well, is adorable and we enjoyed our 3-night stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sandy and her cottage to our friends.

Hidden Gem

The pictures do not do this little cottage justice. It is immaculately maintained and stocked with everything you could possibly need. I found the decor charming. It has a beautiful big lawn in the back with a deck to watch the fireflies in the evening. I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

A surprising gem

This little house is a gem: a charming, beautifully restored 19th century cottage. Everything in the house is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Think hobbit house, if the hobbits hired Martha Stewart. We stayed two nights, as a stop over during a long road trip, and it was nearly perfect. Highly recommended.
