I recently had the pleasure of staying at Domus Monamì in Rome and the experience exceeded all expectations. The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of the city, perfectly positioned close to Rome’s most exquisite destinations and historical landmarks, yet peacefully removed from the touristic crowds and chaos. The views from the property are truly spectacular, overlooking the city from an elevated position above Trastevere. Waking up to such a panoramic scene each day was unforgettable. Trastevere itself is undoubtedly one of Rome’s most vibrant and authentic neighborhoods. It offers the best of Roman nightlife, an energetic and welcoming atmosphere, and some of the finest restaurants in the city. Staying here allows you to experience the true spirit of Rome beyond the typical tourist paths. A very special thank you goes to the two brothers who own and manage this lovely hotel. Their charm and hospitality are exceptional. From the moment you arrive, they treat you not as a guest, but as a valued friend. They generously share thoughtful recommendations, local insights, and helpful guidance about Rome and Italy in general. This is such a lovely place to stay, a little removed from all the busyness of Rome but with it still very accessible. The rooftop is superlative and gives you such a great overview (literally) of the city. It's a manageable and very scenic walk to the Vatican. There are sensational restaurants and bars nearly. Stefano and team could not have been more welcoming or helpful.

Good restaurants 10-15 minutes walking distance. Parks, laundry and grocery as well. Quiet street with a church and fountain a few minutes away. Great view overlooking Rome. The hotel sits on the top most hill. It's steep and a workout to walk for some. Rides were easily available.

Amazing property! The double doors in our room that opened up to the sound of birds and nature made our stay feel like a tropical getaway in the hills of Trastevere. The breakfast area really completed the 100 year old villa feeling that we were looking for in our first trip to Rome. Our hosts were incredibly gracious and accommodating, plus this property is walking distance to the best views of the Roman skyline! Highly highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to be just outside the busy tourist areas but close enough to walk to great restaurants and entertainment. Will definitely be back again!

This property was a great choice for us as this was our first trip to Italy. Beautiful area with an amazing rooftop that we didn't even know about. Walked from here and saw a lot of the Rome sites and so close to Travestere Would recommend not only to other travellers but to friends and family as well. Stefano, and to some degree Stefano’s brother Fabrizio, were very accommodating, helpful, informative and welcoming. From the time we arrived, Stefano gave us ideas on what to see and do in Rome. Stefano also arranged a taxi from the airport to the property. Two buses, #870 and #115, were a block away and gave us all the access to Rome that we needed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat
