What a cool, quaint hotel! Loved it! The location was fabulous, the AC worked great in one of Italy’s biggest heatwaves, the manager was so helpful and nice, and we felt super safe in the area. Would definitely book again.

Clean, but no soap in the bathroom and there was also a window in the bathroom which had a view of a storage room of some sort. There were no curtains. A bit weird but overall the place was clean.

Very friendly staff. The room was of a good size and extremely clean and well kempt. The hotel is walking distance from Termini and within blocks from Via Nationale where you find buses and metro station. Also close enough to walk to most attractions and restaurants.

Lobby area is very small, didn’t like window in bathroom, maybe cover it with something, didn’t like room key, you always had to use it to open and lock door, so if you leave someone in the room they are locked out??? What happens if they have a fire??? Not very safe!

Airconditioning is not working good. We adjusted it from 21 (where it was set when we arrive) to 17 (max that it can go) to make it colder but did not work. We just wanted it a little more colder, but it didn't go to where we are more comfortable. It was ok, though, since it was not too hot outside especially at night. But when you come home from a lot of walking and heat during the day, do not expect a cool room when you get in. You just have to wait till your body adjusts to whatever coolness the room can give. Overall, it was a very good stay. Very convenient and walkable. Close to bus stops and Roma Termini. A lot of restaurants and convenience stores close by. We were able to walk from St. Peters square to the hotel, about 40-45 min walk with stops at Trevi fountain and Pantheon. Cleaning lady comes everyday and change towels. Front dest was very nice and accomodating. He allowed us to leave our luggage after check out so we can explore more before our flight. Will definitely book again.

Ideal location/price

For the price we paid it was in a great location within walking distance to all land marks! Great little places to eat and super markets on and around the surrounding streets! The hotel its self is basic but very clean and always had our room cleaned daily, staff was very helpful and accommodating would highly recommend

We had a great stay here! The owner was very kind and welcoming. The room was very clean. The only inconvenience was that the toilet seat was quite loose. There was a nice cafe right beside the hotel that had great service and coffee for an amazing price. The hotel was walking distance to Trevi Fountain, the train station, and the metro station. Overall a great stay!

Location okay, room size okay. However, no hot water, toilet was broken and shower door broken as well. It is okay for a last minute booking but plenty of better options. Also, no staff on the hotel, only in the mornings, everything else is self service. Staff did not respond to any complaints.

Decent Stay - 3/5

Place was really nice, both receptionists were lovely to us. Only downsides were the shower head would fall off when you move the shower at all which then would spray round the whole room and make it wet. We didn’t mention to the hosts although we just didn’t move it for the rest of the stay. Everything else was nice, clean and the location was lovely.

Wifi was slow and front desk didn't seem to care. front desk is laughable. Entry and exit takes 3 keys after a certain time. No coffee in room. This is a very small "hotel" with only 6 rooms. Expect services to make sense at that scale. There was mold in the shower grout, and the shower doors don't seal. The bed was mediocre, and they didn't even use fitted sheets on the mattress. Just a flat sheet, so I woke up laying directly on the mattress most nights..

We didn’t like this hotel. In fact, it didn’t even look like a hotel, so it was hard to find. It consisted of about a dozen rooms on the bottom floor of a large building. There was no lobby, just a small room with desk, computer, and a man who seemed to be there for only a few hours a day. Our room was very small, the bed was hard as a rock, and there was no window in the room, so we had no outside light. The bathroom was a good size, but the shower was half glass and half curtain that didn’t fit well, so the floor was wet after each shower. On a positive note, our room was very clean.

Not happy with our stay

Unfortunately, it was not the stay we hoped for. We were supposed to sleep there for three nights, but for the first two nights we were placed on a hard and painful sofa bed in a living room. This was far from what we had booked, and it wasn't a hotel room either. Tiny room and no window at all. The staff also didn't speak English so it was impossible for us to explain our dissatisfaction. We avoided paying tourist tax of €42, but it was nowhere near the compensation we should have received. Otherwise a clean hotel, and very central. But it doesn't help when they overbook and instead charge full price to place guests on a sofa.

They scammed me. I showed up during check in hours and the door was locked. I knocked and messaged them and waited close to an hour there and there was still no response. I had to leave and find another hotel as it was getting late they never responded all night or even the next day then they said I was a no show and charged me for three nights and wouldn’t give me the room the next day because they had already booked it out.so I went back the next day and I talked to the reception in person and he promised they would give a refund and were sorry. When I messaged Expedia about it and Expedia emailed them they responded to Expedia saying I never talked to reception and they would not refund me. Do not trust them at all. They continuously lied to Expedia and me.

Check in was a bit confusing as the rooms have multiple entries, not all easily recognizable. Still, you can find the Hotel Elide easily enough. Clean. Only shampoo offered so bought a bar of soap. Centrally located and only a couple blocks of the Metro - Republica station. Walking distance from Napoli Centrale train station. Plenty of restsurant choices nearby. Walking distance to many key sites and a 20 minute metro ride from the Vatican. Some street noise, but main entry is on a side street thst is pretty quiet during the early hours.
