When we were booking our week-long Rome vacation, we wanted a hotel that was affordable and had easy access to public transportation into the city centre. Hotel Eurogarden was exactly that. The bus stop was a 2-minute walk, and the train station was a 3-5 minute ride from there. A short train / metro ride would take us anywhere in the city we wanted to go - Vatican, Colloseum, you name it. The hotel itself was quiet and well kept - most of the guests appeared to be business travelers, so we didn't see much of them. The pool was clean and refreshing. Room service was decent, and the continental breakfast was fine as well, consisting mainly of cold meats, cheeses, cereal, croissants or toast, juice and coffee. The cappuccino was awesome. Staff spoke decent enough English and were quite helpful. It's a bit far from the airport (30 minutes, 60 Euro cab ride) but the daily rate we got in our package made up for it. We saved enough by using this hotel that we could afford to see more attractions and enjoy some good meals in town.
