Diamo stati veramente bene, b&b a pochi minuti a piedi dalla fermata Ottaviano, in zona ben fornita di ogni comodità, comprese fermate di autobus che portano in pochi minuti nei punti turistici di Roma. Gli ambienti sono tutti nuovi e puliti ogni giorno. Colazione abbondante, con possibilità di utilizzare un frigorifero condiviso.

Checking in was terrible, I had notified in advance late arrival and got confirmation for it, however, I had to wait 40 minutes outside (around 11 PM temperature outside 3 degree !!) until I was able to get to my room within an apartment (where Mikale Rooms are located). The owner was in Moscow and none of his employees was present ! He insisted on me ringing the bell of other tenants in order to get into the building. I had no choice till finally someone open the door. I was extremely unhappy about it ! and we had with us a 10 year girl with us who caught a cold because of this long waiting outside which kind of ruin the entire trip. The room was small for 3 persons and not ventilated enough,the only ventilated area was the bathroom....,however, the bathroom had a "black ceiling" (probably wet and damp) which was disgusting to all of us. In addition, Expedia probably gave the owner my private mobile phone number which I didn't appreciate at all !! instead of common communication via email or in person I received unwanted what-ups messages from the owner. Going forward, Expedia is my last option for room booking and Mikale Rooms is not an option at all.

Camere molto belle e pulite. La colazione è self service e molto ben fornita. Il primo giorno mi sono accorta che il phone non funzionava, ho avvisato la responsabile che ne ha procurato subito un altro. 10 minuti a piedi circa, dalla fermata metro Cipro.

Wij hebben hier een prettig verblijf gehad, nette kamer, eigenaar goed bereikbaar voor alle vragen. Dicht bij Vaticaanstad, leuk restaurant aan de overkant. Wij raden deze accommodatie aan. Voor mensen die verwachten dat ze uitgebreid ontbijt krijgen zou ik dit niet aanraden. Voor ons was het prima.

Siamo stati contenti del B&B che si trova in una zona tranquilla vicino al Vaticano. Autobus e metro a poca distanza. Ristoranti, bar, Minimarket tutto a portata di mano. La camera era pulita e comoda. La zona colazione è un po' stretta ma non ci ha creato problemi. Sono a disposizione bollitore per l'acqua, microonde, macchinetta del caffè a cialde (molto buono), biscotti, brioches ecc. e ci si serve da soli un po' come essere a casa. La ragazza che ci ha accolto era gentile.

Mikale-rooms = komplette Katastrophe

Ankunft und Zahlung: 10 Minuten nach unserer Ankunft wurden wir von einer jungen Bediensteten zur sofortigen Zahlung der Übernachtung von 5 Tagen aufgefordert. Daraufhin haben wir Kreditkartenzahlung angeboten, welche abgelehnt wurde. Unser Angebot am nächsten Morgen zu zahlen, da wir den Betrag nicht bar mitgeführt haben, wurde nicht akzeptiert. Vom Eigentümer wurde uns dann per Mail ein Link zugeschickt, mit dem wir nach Anklicken angeblich per Kreditkarte bezahlen könnten. Das war uns zu riskant und wir waren gezwungen, eine Stunde nach unserer Ankunft einen Geldautomaten zu suchen. Zimmer: Sauberkeit nicht ausreichend. Boden wurde nicht gereinigt. Lange Haare des Gastes vor uns wurden nicht entfernt. Auf den Fussleisten lag z.B. fingerdick Staub. Abfluss des Waschbeckens war bei Ankunft verstopft. Frühstücksraum: war nicht vorhanden. Behelfsmässig war im kleinen, schmalen Flur eine Anrichte, 3 einfach Gartentische mit einfachen Stühlen untergebracht. Für die Zimmerzahl absolut nicht ausreichend. Wir waren daher gezwungen zweimal morgens kurz vor 9:30 (Frühstückzeit bis 9:30) zu frühstücken. Das bedeutete für uns, dass gegen 9:45 Uhr die Beleuchtung umgestellt wurde, sodass wir gezwungen waren bei Notbeleuchtung zu frühstücken. Da kein Personal anwesend war, mussten wir den Tisch selbst eindecken und abräumen. Nach Bedienung des Wasserkochers am 2. Tag kompletter Stromausfall für alle Räume für Stunden.

B&B pulito ed economico

Il soggiorno presso Mikale rooms è stato più che positivo. La posizione di questo B&B è molto buona in quanto da qui è possibile raggiungere a piedi, in circa dieci minuti, l'ingresso dei Musei vaticani e in poco di più, Piazza san Pietro. Altrettanto vicina è la fermata Ottaviano della linea A della metro con la quale è possibile raggiungere la maggior parte delle attrazioni turistiche della città. A pochissimi metri c'è anche una fermata degli autobus. La zona è molto tranquilla e non c'è alcun problema nel trovarsi qui anche in tarda serata. La pulizia della camera è ottima; la stanza è davvero piccola ma è andata benissimo per le nostra esigenza di solo riposo, dato che durante il giorno stavamo sempre fuori per visitare la città; la colazione, fai da te, è abbastanza ricca con yogurt, frutta fresca, biscotti, merendine confezionate, ecc. Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Hidden gem in rome

Definitely a great find, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and tidy. The food was amazing. Overall the quality of the service made our trip. Definitely would stay again and recomend it to anyone wanting a quality trip to Rome. P.s- ask for an extra pillow if you want a decent nights sleep 🙂
