My experience was good, the cleaning was good. The confort is acceptable but need a little bit more. The breakfast is good, i think need to introduce more options.

False advertising. There was no restaurant in hotel nor a bar. It has been closed for 10 years. There was no garden balcony as it was in ruins. Overall the pictures on line represent the hotel as it was in the 1960s. But the air conditioner worked and the staff was pleasant. It was walking distance to the Vatican. But I wished I stayed at a different hotel for the 3 days I was in Rome.

The front desk needs much more training the phone did not work the AC did not work on our second night we finally had a fan after they fixed it the beds were terrible we wanted a wake up call at 6:00 a.m. on the day we left the 19th of September and no one at the front desk called they need much more training and this is a one and a half star hotel and no more we asked for directions for food and they sent us to closed restaurants we found a great Chinese restaurant right across the street the other recommendation was fiorentino and that was very good other than that do yourself a favor and pick another hotel I gave it a

The place looked ok in photos. In person it’s a different story. The place smelled like mold, pee and just a disgusting old carpet. AC was not working, blinds couldn’t be lifted or lowered. There was just water leaking in the bathroom. You could hear water flowing through pipes, other guests taking in there rooms. In the hotel there were random leaks. Breakfast buffet was not complete bad but the overall smells and inability to feel comfy and rest well is why I am giving this one star.

Nova Domus - recommended
A good value hotel within easy walking distance of the Vatican, the Olympic Stadium and not far from the Metro either. The (included) breakfast was a nice extra too!

Federico and the rest of the staff were great. I booked the hotel very late notice and so they had not yet received the booking from Hotels.com. Federico searched through various systems online for me and was able to find it. The rooms are old and fairly worn out, but have charm and my room was clean and everything I needed. The bed was firm - which I prefer - and the pillows were great. The breakfast was what you would expect for a European breakfast - nothing more, nothing less. The price was great and the location is great if you are wanting to visit the Vatican.

Star Rating was on a cloudy evening
Checkin was very good. Helpful and very informative. Room had a bad smell. When it states 4 stars one would except a certain level. Think 2 stars in this case. Breakfast is very basic. Overall. Staff are doing a great job in an old run down hotels that get away calling its self 4 stars when its clealy not, If you want a place to put your bags and a few hours sleep then its the place.

It was very close to Saint Peter's Square plaza, 5 minutes walking distance. All the hotel was in excellent conditions, the room was very clean and neat, the breakfast buffett included was plenty and excellent taste.

Nice hotel. Wifi in the room only worked if you were standing next to the hallway door. Walking distance to the Vatican which was great during the day but everything in the area closes early so it was dark and deserted walking around after dark. Mini ants in the bathroom

The property was just ok. The 6 nights we stayed, the breakfast was the same all the time. The place was simple, clean and near the Saint Peters Basilica. The only thing that surprised us was the local tax charged which i thought it was included in the package.

GREAT PLACE in all ways, except for the AC.
In excellent condition...super clean...not a trace of smoke. Somewhat old, but definitely a quality property, very well maintained. The staff is super helpful. INCREDIBLY GREAT BREAKFAST with varied fine pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, juices, gourmet coffee, cereal, yogurt, and more. Wonderful. Strangely, the scrambled eggs were "floating" in liquid/egg juice, not to my liking. Maybe that's a European thing. But, the staff took some of the "wet" eggs, and cooked them for me, until "dry". Our room's bathroom was tiny, but spotless, all walls and the shower seemingly made of real marble. The only complaint about the hotel is our room air conditioner only barely worked "so-so". It cooled the room just a little. On days in the 90's, the room was half-way between warm and slightly cool. Not the air conditioning Americans are used to. The hotel's location is superb, close to the Vatican and other attractions, along with Rome's subway system. All is a short walk away. Buses are close, but we didn't use them. The hotel arranged economical private taxi service to the airport. We would DEFINITELY stay at Quality Hotel Nova Domus again. Lastly, a GREAT, UNIQUE place to eat is only just about 1 block away---a really upscale all-you-can eat Chinese-Japanese restaurant. Incredible service and service---really...only about $25. In three days, we ate there three times. Note, this is NOT the Chinese place just across the street from the hotel's front door.
