The staff was extremely accommodating, the air conditioner was amazing (once we figured out to use the remote, not the wall dial). Location is spectacular and having an outside space was so lovely!!!

We stayed in the rooftop unit and it was amazing. The room was cute and we loved having the rooftop lounging areas to relax on. The hotel was very accommodating, they let us check in early and check out late due to our flight times. We slept really good and the AC was very powerful (not common in Europe). The location is in great proximity of all of touristy spots, shopping, and cafes (Coliseum and Vatican City are about a 20-25min walk). This location is dated but that’s honestly why we loved it so much, it had cozy feeling like you were staying at a relatives place.

We love how close this place is to many tourist destinations in Rome. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The cons are the small elevator and the lack of breakfast.

We loved staying here! It was our first time in Europe and Italy, and it felt like we were staying in the heart of Rome. Everything was walkable, and we felt very safe. Even the locals said we’re staying in an amazing spot. The only downsides are that the room is a bit small and the shower flooded, but we would stay here again if we were to come back!

Clean, quaint and comfortable rooms. Hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to many attractions. The property manager, Frank, is very attentive and flexible with early and late checking in.

I loved that they had AC. The roof top was beautiful and the location is fantastic. Walking distance from all the major attractions like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, and even the Pantheon. There were so many nice restaurants and great stores/boutiques to shop. I would highly recommend this property

Great location for shopping, restaurants, and access to museums and galleries. The owner is very nice and supportive. 3 recommendations: 1) if the rooftop patio can do something to prevent the mosquito attack; 2) the facility can provide laundry equipment; 3) the refrigerator can be a little bigger, will get a 5 star rating.

The location was great and the beds were comfortable. But the shower had visible mildew stains and one of the toss pillows on the bed had gross stains on it. I was expecting a bit nicer conditions given the name luxury in the name of the place.

Shali Luxury Suites is an amazing place to stay. Frank is kind and knowledgeable, always ready to help with anything you need. The suites are conveniently located within walking distance of most historical landmarks, plenty of cafes and restaurants, and high-end boutiques. Though the property is on the 4th floor of an old building, we were pleasantly surprised by the suite’s privacy, cleanliness, and modernity. The balcony is beautiful, offering a perfect escape for relaxation.

Frank met us for our checkin. He was friendly, kind and informative. I was very happy with my room. My room was very clean, had plenty of room for our luggage. Everything worked…from outlets, to fridge and safety box and air conditioning . Loved the rooftop area, it was nicely furnished and comfortable. The location was wonderful. Shops, cafes. restaurants and tourist areas. were walking distance. We felt very safe. I will stay here again.

Shali Suites was perfectly situated, right in the heart of Rome. 2 minutes away from the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, easily accessible with public transport. Lots of restaurants and shops around the area made it easy to get everything we needed. The terrasses were so perfect to sit and have a glass of wine after a day exploring the city, listening to the church bells tolling. And Frank, our host, was very welcoming, always ready to help when necessary, arranging transport for us for a very early morning flight. We highly recommend it.

The room was basically clean. The shower needed a little work some existing mold. Shower door could be challenging as it bumps into the bidet when trying to get in, but definitely workable. Other than that the facility was very clean. Frank was very helpful and the location is outstanding

The outside patio space was great. It is a common space but we typically had it to ourselves. The room was adequate. Shower could use updating. Frank was very helpful. When booking be aware this is a room on a floor with 2 other rooms and businesses on the 3 lower floors, not a hotel. Frank (front desk) was only there in the morning and to greet us when we arrived. It was fine for what we were looking for. Convenient to transportation and very walkable.

Good location.

The accommodation is in a great part of Rome. Very walkable to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Spanish Steps. About 30 min walk from Termini Station. It is a small property with only 3 rooms. Service is great and Frank, the manager cleaned my room as requested as soon as I asked as I was coughing quite a bit from the visible dust on all the vents. The bathroom is very small and tricky to get into the shower as the door only opens up about 45 degrees due to the bidet being in front of it. The room I had was quite small but I was travelling solo, so it was fine. I would stay here again for the location and the security but would not necessarily call it "luxury." The hotel tax is advertised as 3.50 Euros pp/nt but I was charged 7.00 Euros per night, so will be asking them about this.

What shall I say about this place? It definitely is not a hotel but basically about 7 rooms in two floors. It was not squeaky clean, dusty everywhere, including towel racks which I had to ask them to clean twice. Worst of all, they had a major problem with water leaking from the shower into the bathroom and living room. They did fix it but not until the last day which btw, we had to leave early for them to fix. The host was a nice guy but the property was not professionally run like a hotel. False advertisement. The patio was nice though and location was great.

The property was in a good location. However, there are some major issues. The listing stated that it had an elevator and was accessible. It was not. The elevator could only be reached after going up a couple of stairs. The elevator in no way could hold a wheelchair. There were other stairs to navigate and we had to climb a 2 story outside, circular staircase to get to our room. The room did not even have a chair in it and the shower needed some work. The patio was nice but did not make up for the deficiencies. We have previously stayed in much nicer accommodations in Rome at a lower cost. The Shali is definitely not luxury and the accessibility information is inaccurate and needs to be changed to not accessible.

Where to start. We loved staying at the SHALI. From the second you walk in you are greeted and helped with your bags. Keep note this hotel is on the 4th floor with only stairs or an old rickety elevator. The bedrooms were clean and well kept. I loved that most of the modern amenities were here including shampoo and body wash, you don’t always get that at European hotels. My only complaint about the room was the bed, it was horrible. I am somewhat picky though so it may not bother you. The location of this hotel is PERFECT! It’s exactly where you want to be, in the heart of Roma. You can pretty much walk anywhere from here. We even walked to the coliseum, granted that was a very long walk but you could do it. Trevi Fountain is about 10 minutes away as well as the Spanish steps. I almost forgot the best part. You will love the patio on the fourth and fifth floors. They are so welcoming and inviting! We ate dinner up there and had a glass or two of wine in the evenings. The SHALI over all exceeded my expectations and I would definitely go back (especially if they invested in new beds). Thank you SHALI for making our first trip to Rome memorable.
