"1 night stay as a family of 4. (2 adults, 3.5 year old and 15 month old) At first I was a little reluctant to book, after seeing some bad reviews, but I'm glad I looked past them. The room was lovely! The perfect set up for what we wanted. We came away for my husbands 30th birthday and the location was a good mid point stay between where we were going over 2 days. The hotel even set up a low camp bed for our youngest, which saved us lugging her travel cot into the room. It was quite warm in the room and only a small desk fan available. We were on the 2nd floor and had to sleep with the windows all fully open and even then the children were unsettled. Luckily there is a park just around the corner, so we went for an early norning walk there. Breakfast was lovely! Staff were all friendly and chatty. We also sat in the garden for a drink in the evening, it was really nice and cool down there. The room was clean and well presented. Tea coffee and biscuits in the room. There was even a little fridge, perfect to store our daughters milk! We will definitely return if we head that way again. Thank you for a lovely stay!! "

"We loved our stay here. The cottage has loads of quirky architectural features. It's remote enough to see the stars in the hot tub on a clear night, but has a lot of towns and villages around to drive to for days out, plus local walks which were detailed in the welcome book. We mostly stayed cocooned in the cottage as it's so warm and snug. The cottage is situated in a working horse riding stable so during the day people are coming and going in front of the cottage as they arrive and depart, so you'd want to wear a robe or something to go to and from the hot tub but once your in the enclosed garden, you can close the gate and forget about them. We really enjoyed our stay and the hosts were lovely "
