Lamie's Inn and The Old Salt Restaurant

Lamie's Inn and The Old Salt Restaurant

10/10 Excellent
"A classic old inn, but rooms were updated, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had several fresh pastries. But cheese would have been nice, bagels were chain-store bought, and orange juice was watered down. Coffee available in the lobby was much better than what's served at breakfast. Fresh fruit was always available in the lobby, however. Overall, we'd stay here again, the price was comparable to a Holiday Inn or Best Western. And there is a nice happy hour every day in the attached restaurant bar, just wished it went until 6 instead of 5."

Ashworth by the Sea

Ashworth by the Sea

8/10 Good
"First day went to take a shower and only one towel in the room. Had to call and get towels brought to the room before we could go out. That evening went to bed and the bottom sheet was too small for the bed and kept bunching up as you moved your feet. The next day I spoke to housekeeping and ask them to remake our bed with sheets that actually fit. He said he would when he serviced the room. We went down to the front desk to get beach chairs that the hotel offers for patron use, they were wooden chairs and very heavy to carry. We returned back to the hotel around 3:00 and when we got to our room it had not been serviced. Housekeeping was still in the hallway so I went and asked them when they would be servicing our room. He said oh I can come in now if you would like and I said that would be fine. He came in changed the bed and took out the trash. That was the extent of the housekeeping. The next day pretty much the same thing happened with housekeeping at 3:30 our room had not been cleaned and no towels. I had to go and get towels so we could take showers to go out and get ready for dinner. Room never got serviced that day. Also they have a beautiful restaurant/ bar inside but the three days I was there it was never open. They only offered a outside deck bar area. After being out in the sun all day at the beach you don't feel like sitting outside in the blaring sun to have lunch. I feel the facility is mismanaged."

Ogunquit River Inn & Suites

Ogunquit River Inn & Suites

8/10 Good
"Check in was quick and the front desk attendant was very pleasant. We used the pool which was great, however, it needed to be skimmed. A ton of grass, hair and debris floating in the pool. Housekeeping visited our room which was great. They replenished towels and made our bed. A pleasant surprise as most hotels/motels do not offer this service daily. They also offer a continental breakfast and tea and coffee all day. The room was updated and clean with a second floor balcony overlooking the river. We asked for a late check out and for $30 we were able to check out two hours later which was so helpful. A great place to stay which was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back before winter."

"This place was so great! I would absolutely love to stay here again! It is set up so cute (makes you really feel like you are right at the beach), has a little continental breakfast, an area for smaller kids to place, a bigger swingset, and a pool! You can even use grills to have a cookout, which is such a nice option to have. It's close to all things as well. The staff was easy to communicate with- we came in super late and they made sure we would have access to our room with no problems. I truly can't recommend this place enough, like i said- we hope to come back!!"
