"Horrible business management. I planned to take an Uber from the property to the airport, which was supposed to cost around $7. Of course, my Uber app stopped working as soon as I was ready to go so, in a panic, I asked the front desk for the number to a taxi service. They avoided the request and just said that I can get an airport transfer for 20 euros, or $25 USD through them. I thought they had their own transfer service ready when needed, which would justify the higher charge but instead the manager and one of the guys who books beach activities called a regular taxi (same as I asked to do), which came 20 minutes later and they paid the guy $5!!! They kept the other $20 for themselves and all they did was call a street taxi. I would have been okay paying a premium given the last minute hustle but to pay the driver $5 when I paid them $25 is appalling and greedy. I also treated myself to a spa treatment here for 70 euros thinking it would be super luxurious considering that a full 2 hour turkish hammam treatment in downtown Hurghada goes for about 35 euros, but instead it was the epitome of basic - a total rip off. It was at their gym and didn’t give luxury at all. Everything here is upcharged and not worth it. So sad given that most of the hotel staff is super kind and helpful in the traditional Egyptian way. Management ruins it though. Stay at another hotel. "

"Sea view with a balcony is a must 👌"

"The room was clean upon arrival and had plenty of room. I liked the walkout balcony, it could have used a better rack to hang stuff to dry but it did have a small one. The beach was nice, lots of places to lay down and enjoy the view. Towel exchange was easy and didnt feel like anyone was trying to steal my towel when left to swim or grab a drink. The pool was good, and nice to be able to grab a drink there. The food was pretty good and so was the juice. James and Mac diving was great and had very professional staff. The guides were very friendly and did a good job explaining the dives to me in english as the whole group was german. I appreciated them spotting interesting things to see during the dive too. The late evening events were decent too aswell as the drinks. "

"Great resort ***for the price***. Staff is great and will bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay. If you decide to stay here, you will enjoy it, and you'll be glad you did, especially when you look at what you didn't spend at a more expensive resort. Also, the immediate area is very walkable and quite pleasant. Easy access to pharmacies, Carrefour, and the usual resort clothing/souvenir shops. That said, maintainance/upkeep is a bit of an issue. "Weardownables" like towels, sheets, the poolside chaise lounge pads...all seem old and in need of replacement. Our biggest issue was the lack of variety at the main restaurants. You can make a reservation at the small restaurant venues in the resort (some have an upcharge) but the two main restaurants pretty much serve the same stuff every day, and it's not particularly tasty. After the first four days, we found ourselves going into Hurghada to other restaurants. Hurghada isnt expensive and it's close by Uber, so this wasn't a huge issue; just saying you're not going to get cruise ship variety and quality here. "

"Al Kasr was a major disappointment. I have stayed at a number of 5 start hotels, as well as in Egypt (previously Sharm El Sheikh) so feel I have a good gauge of a good hotel. From the very start there were red flags. All hotels I have stayed in up until now have offered welcoming drinks (even just a basic juice would be fine) and provided a tour of the hotel facilities so we know where the pool and dining is. This is the first hotel where check in was “here’s your key, on you go”. Again, if I paid the price of a 3 star hotel I’d be fine with this, but you pay a premium price and get mediocre service. Then, the layout of the resort seems odd. We were located in block 1000, which is far from any facilities. The dining and pools (as far as we could identify) were on the complete other side of the resort. If it was centrally located, all rooms could have equidistant access. When they told us we had been upgraded to a sea-view free of charge, I thought this was great. It was a rude awakening when I went to the balcony and looked out and saw we were getting a sea view from the back of the hotel, overlooking the entire hotel premises. At that point it seems disingenuous to promote it as a ‘sea-view’. Moving onto the room. I had high hopes as it’s supposed to be a ‘new’ hotel. The rooms looked like they’ve been in use for 20 years. Grouting lifting between the tiles, the bathroom sink tap ‘unbolted’ and moving as you use it. The balcony had nails sticking out which you could easil"

"Overall an excellent hotel with great facilities, beach, delicious food, clean comfortable rooms, beautiful setting and friendly courteous staff. Avoid busy snorkelling trips and especially any trips going to the Orange Island! Although the spa itself is relaxing the extra treatments are not worth the money and not great. The day trip to Luxor was the highlight- highly recommended "
