I went to Sale for business for a few days. Looking at the picture when I booked, it looked nice. However, my room was in a building at the back. It was unclean and dated. The shower was poor with debris on the bottom of it. The couple next door were loud til 2am each evening. At least their sex didn’t last longer than 2 minutes. I was told a few days before arriving that there was no restaurant. On arrival I was told there is no bar! Not great. Why then were there people in the main hotel in the morning eating breakfast? I am suspecting this is a migrant hotel. On the plus side, it was self contained and you can park for free.

Lots of potential but due an upgrade. Many faults in terms of missing the up to date touches, complemented by 1970s feel. For the price I might consider it again, but don’t get your hopes up.

Clean, comfortable and quiet ...
I stayed for one night in Manchester whilst visiting friends. Value for money hotel, in which i only slept at the location. Free on sight parking. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely horrifying.
Quite possibly the worst experience I've had in hotels and I stay in them at least once per week. Accommodation is in the very run down annexe. It's cold, the carpets are disgusting, the garden area has debris strewn around. In short, it's just been left to decay. The rooms smelled bad, there was evidence of black mould in the bathrooms. We stayed for 5 minutes and quickly checked out and into another hotel, which was actually cheaper. An absoutely awful experience. This hotel needs to be dropped fro the Hotels.com site.

A very friendly welcome, and an unsolicited upgrade to a double room (having booked a single). Good value for money. The only weak point was intrusive light from outside coming into the bedroom.

The room was clean but the facilities were not as the website. There was no restaurant for an evening meal and no bar. Couldn’t get the liquid soap out the toilet seat was broken. There was no glass for water. the area outside was tatty and the garden a mess. Was told there was a restaurant about 5 minutes walk but it was a long way and my husband has trouble walking. I know it was cheap but not as described. He cannot drive at night. Will not recommend.

3night break to visit family.Twin room for adult sons. Infested with fruit flies. Rooms not serviced during stay. Reception not open for clean towels at breakfast. Ragged, tired decor. Kettle on short lead underneath TV screen. Flower beds littered with mastic tubes, hotel soap containers, beer cans, washing poles. Unused external loose electric cables blowing in the wind tapping on windows. Noisy toilet plumbing from other rooms whistling. Terrible shower pressure. We'd stay again as the bed linen was clean and this place is walking distance to relatives. Suggest you stay elsewhere

Nice comfortable room that catered for my needs. Found it to be clean and all little extras included eg iron ironing board hairdryer and tea coffee and biscuits. My only criticism is the pillows were very thin and lumpy also the batteries in the remote control ran out so couldn't watch tv

Firstly, the photos shown in the property description are completely misleading there is a property extension that I stayed in not shown in any of the photos which is in a poor state of repair. The room itself again does not appear in the photos but is small for a double room but that is not its main problem. It is generally dirty and smells musty of damp. The carpet is tacky, dirty and stained with one layer unevenly over the other. There is a bathroom without any windows which has an extracted fan that does not work and from the look of it has not worked in some time and as you settle in and try to sleep you realise the whole room is infested with small what look like fruit flies. They don’t bite and are not bed bugs thank God but are very distracting as they keep landing on you etc… I arrived late and left very early but the whole experience was the worst hotel stay I can remember. Do not stay here especially as the price is not cheap. I will be see a full refund for many reasons but including the trades description act as the building and room in which I stayed bears no resemblance to the photos and description on this website

In serious need of some renovations. The pictures shown do not reflect the property at all. Chipped wooden doors, bedside lamps not working, mould growing round the bathroom mirror, paper thin walls. Husband described it looking similar to a halfway house and I'm inclined to agree. Such a shame as the building has huge potential. Bearing in mind we paid £15 more to stay in a beautiful studio apartment in LONDON for 2 nights in September, I'd be interested in some form of refund as the standards did not reflect the price we paid.

Room was big and had all we needed for our 1 night stay,We stayed in an annex which is situated behind rear of main building,i did worry about heading to the main building for breakfast in tje morning because it was very heavy rain,but they have a handy connection between the two buildings so did not get wet.Greeted on reception by a nice lady who also took our orders and cooked breakfast which was spot on.All in all a good experience here.

I booked this for my 81 year old mum who was staying there whilst my dad had a major operation! Towels were not changed in 5days disgusting!! Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night some men tried to get into her room in the middle of the night aswell!! All she got was a free breakfast!!
