Great Location

nice and clean, conveniently located. great for families with little kids that want the calm waters of the bay,the property contact was super responsive, will definitely look into making this a yearly stay.

Beach Getaway

Bay view is in a great location! We enjoy the bay view from our patio during meals and the short walk to the beach. You can walk to multiple restaurants and don’t have to get back in your car. House was great for accommodating our family of 4. Thanks and see you again!

The location is excellent — just steps from the beach, which is always the highlight of staying on Mission Beach. However, as they say, you get what you pay for here. The house is quite worn, and the cleanliness was about a 6 out of 10. The rugs and furniture were noticeably stained, and several of the “clean” dishes needed to be rewashed before use. There were no extra amenities provided — a few additional towels and washcloths would have made the stay more comfortable. Noise was also an issue: the kids in the upstairs unit sounded like a herd of horses, and the next-door neighbors hosted a large group of 30 people all day and partied loudly until after 2 a.m. With no air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open, which made sleeping nearly impossible. I’ve rented on Mission Beach multiple times a year for the past four years while my child has been in college nearby, and unfortunately, this is not a property I would choose again.

Pros: Location - right on the bay (literally) and a couple of minute walk to the ocean. Nearby restaurants and storesBeds-super comfortable king bed and twin beds were great for kids.Patio with grill and bay viewsDedicated parking spot was HUGE in this area.Washer and dryer Huge TV with all the channelsKitchen well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils.Beach towels, beach umbrellas, chairs, boogie boardsCons:Microwave did not work-seemed like an electrical issue. Sent message to host first night and never got a response so no microwave the entire stay. VERY inconvenient since we had planned for microwave meals the first night.Gate/door from the patio to side walkway did not shut or lock and this led right to the bedroom door.Host communication was not great. Overall, would reccomend due to the location, parking spot and amenities with cautions due to the issues mentioned above.
