The hotel location is great, just a few minutes walk to the BART (direct connection to SFO), Cable Car (touristy and overpriced [$8!] but fun way to get across town to Fisherman's Wharf), Union Square, SF MoMA, Jewish Museum, Museum of African Diaspora, and not far from Civic Center (Asian Museum, etc.) and Van Ness. The Westfield Mall is literally next door. Chinatown just a 10 minute walk. One must cultivate an urban nonchalance about all the crazy, drug-addicted, homeless people littering the sidewalk, on Market St. and especially down Mission St. and in the Tenderloin district. The liquor store across the street tried to short-change me. The various share scooter services are a convenient way to get to Embarcadero (Ferry Building, etc.).
The hotel staff were all very friendly and professional. The few minor problems we had were quickly addressed.
In summary, the Zetta Hotel is a pleasant oasis in a focus of cultural and retail attractions.
We would definitely stay there again.
