"This place is worth every penny. So convenient from the train station. Be sure to ask them for shuttle service. It’s free from the train station. Then you don’t have to carry your luggage for 15 mins up and down the cobbled streets. The property is the most gorgeous lakeside view. Everywhere you look it’s beautiful here. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I can’t recommend this place enough."

"We love that our room had a balcony. The hotel staff were very helpful. The restaurant is independent and the staff there is not so friendly. We would stay there again. Plus, you can walk to the train station and the lake easily. We recommend! "

We enjoyed sitting out in the balcony to enjoy watching the people, ferries and sunsets. The washer and drier wereVery useful.I would not hesitate to recommend this place for any couple wanting to stay in Varenna. We will be back!"

"We loved our stay in Varenna! The host gave excellent directions on how to access the apartment. We brought a car and were able to park in the nearby public parking lot. Walking to the place involved a short steep downhill on cobblestones and several flights of stairs to the apartment, so that is good to know if you have physical limitations. But, we loved it and would go back!"

"The key reason to stay here is the location. The space is big enough to host 4-5 adults. However, it is not very comfortable, lacks warmth and accommodating guests. It seems a little dirty or dated. We did not have enough pillows, blankets and towels. There are no amenities such as soap and shampoo to shower. The kitchen is relatively supplied with dishes to prepare meals. It would be nice if when arriving, there are essentials such as bottled water, coffee pods, tea and paper products just to settle in. We had to take an Uber to a store at 6:00pm to pick up supplies for our stay. After a long travel day, it would have been nice to just have a few things there to greet us. The furniture is limited and made it hard to sit in the main space and relax. We did enjoy eating around the main dining table and the views across Lake Como. And again, access to town and the ferry is why you stay here. The light in the bathroom was broken and after contacting Luciana, he sent someone to repair it during the stay. He was responsive to questions but it took a few days each time. Not sure we would stay here again. "
