Situated in the picturesque village of Canale di San Mauro Cilento, the old farmhouse 'Il Canale 1861' offers an enchanting escape from everyday life, immersing you in the tranquillity of the surrounding hills. This architectural gem, built entirely of local stone in the second half of the 19th century, retains the charm and authenticity of the period, thanks to a skilful restoration that has respected the original canons and building techniques. Surrounded by unspoilt nature, centuries-old olive trees, and with breathtaking views of sea, hills and mountains, "Il Canale" promises a stay suspended in time.

Inside, the villa unfolds on three levels for a total of 100 square metres. The ground floor houses a living room with a characteristic fireplace, from which you can admire the surrounding panorama, and a spacious dining room with a finely crafted masonry kitchen that will immerse you in the Cilento atmosphere. Facilities include two bathrooms with bath and shower, television with satellite system (astra/hotbird) in every room, stereo, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, heating system, and air conditioning in all rooms to ensure maximum comfort.

Outside, the garden in front of the villa boasts a fountain and a barbecue made of local stone, ideal for outdoor days in the sun or starry nights. The gazebo and satellite system are perfect for your days outdoors, while centuries-old olive trees and characteristic Cilento dry stone walls enrich the scenery. The year 2018 saw the addition of a freshwater swimming pool (7 x 3.50 x 1.50 metres), nestled between the mountains and the sea, completing the offer of an unparalleled outdoor space.

San Mauro Cilento, an ancient and hospitable village of less than a thousand inhabitants, is the setting for this farmhouse. Situated between Salerno and Palinuro, the village offers a romantic tangle of alleys and small squares terracing the sea. Surrounding activities include trekking and birdwatching trails, while distances are short to both the beach of Mezzatorre-Acciaroli and the mountains.
