Above and beyond
Check-in was quick. The room was comfortable and clean. I did not use any facilities. The staff were exceptional, helpful, and patient with a problem that I had, which they resolved. I will be back to stay on my next visit. Big thanks to Sara and Joana.

4 adults family holiday with elderly parents - stayed in 2x Superior Double Room for 3 nights during the week. Reassuringly there were many locals staying for their business trips. Conveniently located next to Schaffhausen Bahnhof, there are frequent trains to Zurich Airport that takes 40-50 minutes. Town centre is within 5 minutes walking distance with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes. There's a Migros with Migros Restaurant on the opposite side of SH Bahnhof where we had our breakfast as we didn't choose the hotel's add-on breakfast. Despite its proximity to SH Bahnhof it wasn't noisy. The rooms were modern, bright, clean and spacious. The windows can be opened for fresh air which proved useful as one of our rooms' air-conditioning and fridge didn't work. We reported the issue quite late and the conciege advised us that the engineers were off site and could only repair it the next day which was already our check-out day. I would recommend staying at Vienna House if visiting & sightseeing in & around SH, the Rheinfall, Winterthur or Zurich.

Good Location
The location was good for anyone traveling by car or rail. Schaffhausen is a gem of a town often overlooked by Americans traveling Switzerland. Clean modern rooms and a nice breakfast.

This hotel was in a great location. Rooms were a nice size, clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the internet was very slow. Since we were trying to work while there, this was a huge problem. From the room, it was nearly impossible to zoom and they did not have a quiet place from which to work with good internet. They need to upgrade their system.

Clean and quiet. Room was ok. It was too warm. Could not make it cooler then 20 C. Called the front desk. They said they didn’t have enough staff to come and check the thermostat. It was evident that they were understaffed. Spa was closed since Covid. Breakfast was pretty good. Very convenient location.

Excellent location. We like the clean and spacious apartment with the old town view. The front desk and restaurant staff are very friendly. Basement public car park is so convenient. Highly recommended!

Disappointed by our third stay in this hotel, gone downhill since last year. We had major plumbing problems two days running, which could easily have been avoided if they had tested everything after reopening. Management didn't seem to care.

Comfortable, modern and stylish
As a family of 3 we took a junior sweet. Our child slept on a sofa bed in the lounge. The room was spacious and comfortable for 3. Our only complaint was that the lounge curtains were not very heavy so that part of the room got very bright early in the morning. The bedroom benefited from heavier curtains and a very comfortable bed. Don’t be put off by the nearby train station, the rooms are quiet day and night. This location is ideal for coming to Schaffhausen by train; there are regular direct connections to and from Zurich airport. The hotel location is a 3 minute walk from the old town which is beautiful! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the only minor quibble we had was that the advertised free drinking water was not in our room. The staff did supply us with carafes of drinking water on request however. A wide variety of breakfasts are on offer and they are of an excellent standard. We would happily stay here again as Schaffhausen itself is beautiful, there is a lovely riverside walk to the Rhine Fall waterfall which is about 3kms away.

Nice newer hotel right above train station, short walk to centre of town, and all the sites. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Good wifi. One thing that might not suit all travellers was shower stall was next to bed, had some decorations on glass wall but not a lot of privacy! Bathroom partially open to rest of room.

Lovely welcome from staff who couldn’t be more helpful with local knowledge. Good fun city with delicious food. Will definitely return for a longer stay. Good enjoyable breakfast. Easy check in & out. Cannot fault this hotel

Comfortable, friendly staff and great location
Modern, clean and comfortable hotel close to the railway station and the old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful advising where to go and what to see around Schaffhausen.

Oh, I just Love - Love - Love this hotel. I was given a wonderful welcome. Staff (that I came across) are competent, professional & very kind. Sabrina was outstanding; easy to communicate, she made my dayyy! :) Her insight about parking, etc. was so appreciative. George also stood out for his kindness.
