They do it very cheap at the expense of cleanliness and lack of very basic features like having a towel, duvets, a clean kettle etc. The receptionist accused hotels.com of not diplaying their accommodation details correctly. But they do not have to go very cheap in order to secure customers; A cabin for £80.00, but you have to pay extra for duvets. I have never been to any b&b or Inn where duvets/blankets are not provided!!! I can expect such a thing only in if you're doing your own camping.
Good base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Six beds in the room with shower and kitchenette (inc fridge) and bar onsite. Can be a little noisy as the walls are thin.
First night stayed in hikers cabin, second night upgraded to king size room in the main house on B&B basic.
Cabin was very basic but was perfectly placed for travelling to do the three peaks in the morning. Although basic it was clean and warm on arrival. Walls were thin to adjoining cabins and we were unfortunate to have noisy neighbours.
The room in the main house was beautiful and recently refurbished and opened to the public. Breakfast was perfect and the couple who owned the property were very accommodating and friendly. Bar onsite was good value. Only marked down review due to neighbours in cabins.
