"The location was very good especially for buses and trams. The flat was nothing special, in fact it was very poorly furnished, cheapest of furniture, no tissues, no paper towel, no cloths to wipe the counters or bathroom, two tiny containers of soap and shampoo for two people for an entire week. Give the minimum and pay the maximum. Also, asking for more money as an excuse to get access to the key box was the final straw. I will NEVER rent with Altido or Joivey again."

"Great retro spacious warm and friendly hotel. 10 min bus ride into the city. Lots of Uber drivers available. Super helpful staff Good spacious rooms. A microwave would be great for future reference. Good value full breakfast"

"Breakfast okay. Regular English options. Room cleanliness needs work, a bit of a hoover and dusting around ends would be great. Shower curtain was mouldy at the bottoms so that was a bit gag inducing. Shower itself pressure okay. Room was noisy at nights as could hear the plumbing for everyone's shower. Constant sounds. 2 single beds, nice, clean sheets, comfy pillows. All in all okay for price and distance into Edinburgh was good. Within walking distance to Dean village if you have that on your check list."

"This is an OK hotel in the heart of the downtown area. But be warned that you will have to park at least a 10 minute walk away so be prepared to walk your bags through the city center in order to check in and check out. The staff is friendly, but amenities could’ve been better."

"Very clean and well kept hotel. King bed room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very short walk to Waverly train station. Less than 5 minutes. For tram to airport, we got on at St Andrews station which is about a 10-15 minute walk. Hotel is very close to old town. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of items. Breads, fruit, cereals, and standard buffet items."
