A hidden gem
Delighted with this accomadation I had a room in the house which was very comfortable The cottages are very nice as well. Breakfast available highly recommend Situated just outside Sligo easy driving to town and nice beaches. I needed accomadation near Sligo general Only 10 min drive away. Can't speak highly enough of guesthouse and proprietors.

Loved our stay
I can't say enough nice things about our stay here. Our hosts were extremely pleasant, greeting us with a warm smile outside as we pulled in, showed us to our room and gave us all the information we needed to plan our trip into town for dinner. The room was very clean and modern. Also it was very quiet which is always important to us when traveling. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best we had on our trip. Many choices on the menu but we had to go with the traditional Irish breakfast because why wouldn't we. We would highly recommend this location and will call on them again on our next trip to Ireland

Very lovely stay
The room was in a very great condition and lovely warm with the ability to change (not always the case in Ireland). Check in was easy and done by a lovely woman. We fully enjoyed our one night stay to explore the Sligo area.

Crisp and clean
Small room and largely devoid of charm, but super convenient for the main road north out of Sligo. Very clean, very light, very modern. Comfy bed. Barely any floor space for cases. Immediate exterior ground level access to the rooms, so no hauling heavy cases up stairs. There's no path on the hill below this place, so the walk into Sligo feels very dicey, but there's loads going on in the town. Overall I probably wouldn't stay again because it was all a bit impersonal versus other places I stayed in the same week, but that doesn't mean I'm not really pleased and impressed with how clean, modern and fresh it was. Great for business overnighters.

Very nice new property just a quick drive from downtown. Breakfast was good and a fair price. Located near a bit of road noise, but I'd deal with that again to stay at this place.

Overnight Stay While Road Tripping Across Ireland
Don't let the reasonable price cause you to think this place is not worth staying at. The stable room we stayed in was spotlessly clean and looked new. I tote along a pair of slippers everywhere I go because I don't want to put my bare feet on hotel room floors. I didn't need them here! The decor was minimal but warm. The cattle in the fields made you feel you were really in the setting, not near the main road. The room was also quiet, which surprised me as there were many guests the night we stayed. The next morning we were greeted for breakfast by Rory's contagious and stoic charm, which my cousin and I rather enjoyed. Of course, he brought us outstanding french pressed coffee and rich black tea to start, so maybe the man is a genius, knowing when to simply bring the hot caffeinated beverages and keep chatter to a minimum. At least until the caffeine has worked its magic. The breakfast was as fabulous as the coffee and tea, too. The next time I am up the Sligo way this hotel will be at the top of my list for places to stay.

We had never visited this area of Ireland previously and wanted to check it out. Sligo is a great place and the Red Cottage & Stables is perfectly located. The staff are perfect, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great and the rooms were grand.

Lovely B'n'B in a gorgeous location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the red cottage and stables. The room was very clean, comfy and the shower was great! The view from our room was idealic. It is a short 5 minute drive to Sligo and we had a lovely meal in town. The breakfast was delicious! We only wish we could have stayed for another night! Would highly recommend.

Very nice B&B
This hotel is more like a bed and breakfast. It is brand new and the construction and finishes are very well done. We stayed in the 'coach house' and enjoyed the privacy. Lots of parking. It was a very short drive from the city center. There were no fridges in the rooms but everything else was very good.

This is a new B&B and a couple of things need improvement. For example, soap should be replaced each day in the shower and the bathroom needs a shelf and hooks. A second chair would be good in the room, and a larger continental breakfast option should be given. These are small niggles and would lead to an even better review if addressed. All the other points are positive - the hosts are friendly and very helpful, the cooked breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are warm and spacious. The property is next to a main road, but there is no traffic noise. The Red Cottage is very close to Sligo and would be an ideal base for anyone touring in the area.

Great quiet spot close to Sligo town center.
Great little gem along the road near Sligo operated as a very nice, very new B&B or boutique hotel. Our room in the main house seemed almost brand new, with new carpet, paint, and all new fixtures in the very nice bathroom- and the bed was very comfortable.

Great place to stay! Myself and 2 friends stayed here over the weekend. We were greated by our host who was extremely friendly and helpful from the get go. when we checked into our room, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the room was presented. A very clean modern look with a great sized shower. Throughout our day we were always asked of there was anything else we needed. Overall I would highly recommend this place to stay as it's only a very short drive into Sligo and the hosts are extremely helpful.

We had a little trouble finding it since it has been newly remodeled and there was no sign out front. The room was nice and everything very clean. Lots of convenient parking, very nice after having to use parking garages in bigger cities. Quiet location, nice young lady that greeted us. no complaints.

Stayed here while attending a wedding in a local hotel. Fantastic from start to finish. Received a text message on way with directions. Lovely welcome from owner Karen who showed us to a newly decorated room. Very comfortable bed, brilliant spacious bathroom with plenty of hot water, fresh towels and toiletries. Rooms beautifully decorated. Breakfast cooked fresh following selection from menu. Tea and toast refilled on request. Brilliant conveniently located bed and breakfast, highly recommend and would definitely return.

Accueillant et sympathique B&B
Nous avons séjourné ici lors de notre visite du Nord-ouest de l'île. La propriétaire est très sympathique et nous avons eu une très belle chambre et un excellent déjeuner. On est plus à la campagne qu'en ville donc c'est tranquille. Nous avons pris l'auto pour aller souper en ville à Sligo à quelques minutes de là avec les indications de la propriétaire.

Nytt och väldigt fräscht. Superskönt att ha en egen "ytterdörr" och slippa smyga genom ett hus. Stor bra parkering. Finns lite förbättringspotential vad det gäller småsaker. Som bäddmadrass saknades trots nya sängar. Inte superbra städat. Det fanns inga som helst krokar vare sig i sovrummet eller badrummet så det fanns ingenstans att hänga ytterkläder, necessärer och sånt. Bara en smal garderob med för lite galgar. Frukosten var ok. Inte gångavstånd till matställe men kort bit med bil så det funkar. Men som sagt, väldigt nytt och fräscht och rekommenderas verkligen!
