The Uplands Serviced Apartments

The Uplands Serviced Apartments

8/10 Good
"Our flat felt like a 'home from home'. The rooms (bedroom and sitting room) were spacious and comfortably furnished. A previous reviewer complained that the kitchenette was too small to cook a proper meal, but we found we were able to cook three (new and a little complicated) recipes with excellent results - and we didn't even use the full-sized oven. The flats are in a quiet area, so there's no real traffic noise and we appreciated being able to park right outside the front door. Our only concern was that the front door lock did not seem to be very robust ... this is definitely something the management should consider improving ... but in the meantime there was a small, working safe for tix, passports, other documents and £."

Ommaroo Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is an attractive Edwardian building right on the seafront. A large car park at the rear had spaces the whole of my stay. The room was light and airy, clean and well maintained. The shower had a decent pressure with plenty of hot water. The room had a vanity basin and unit with a mirror which meant plenty of space for toiletries and the dedicated light made it perfect for applying makeup. The breakfast was freshly cooked, including the fried eggs on the buffet. On Friday nights there is an all you can eat buffet which was splendid, and included fresh oysters and other excellent seafood as well as roasts, pasta dishes, salads, puddings and cheeses. Helpful and friendly staff ensured I felt welcome and was valued as a customer."

Norfolk Hotel

Norfolk Hotel

8/10 Good
"Stayed here for a few days and it’s a solid, no-nonsense choice if you want a comfortable base to explore the island. It's a traditional, family-run spot rather than a flashy luxury resort, but it nails the basics. The location is a major plus—just a short, easy walk into the center of St. Helier, right next to Howard Davis Park, and close to the coast at Havre des Pas. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful from the moment we checked in."

"Staff and Breakfast superb A 15 minute walk to main bus station and 10 minute walk to town centre so convenient Room was larger than expected, I got an upgrade, and very clean and I definitely needed double glazing to keep our car noise Hotel is an old building and one can hear other guests wandering around in the corridors! Not a problem at night time but some got up much earlier than I wanted to! I have stayed several times before and must have had a very different room"

"Lovely hotel in a great situation directly on the main coast road but quiet at night. Wonderful breakfast choice, friendly staff, really great food in the Tassili restaurant, very clean throughout. Good lighting in the bathroom with magnifying mirror, always good. Comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobe/drawer space for clothes, also really great to have a movable mirror in the bedroom along with big mirrors in the wardrobes."
