"Lovely stay, with fab spa facilities and amazing breakfast. Only negatives were the room was sparsely decorated and a bit sterile (perfectly clean and wonderful bed/bathroom) and a humming sound through the night which was possibly coming from a boiler next door. Would definitely stay again"

"The hotel, staff, restaurant and location are excellent However the rooms facing the lane are extremely noisy... we were woken up at 7.30am by loud truck deliveries and garbage trucks... and late at night, the hotel staff would gather and talk loudly just below the hotel room windows. Also, the hotel has no parking, so you either have to be lucky and get a spot on the street in front of the hotel, or pay to park in the lot up the hill. "This gets a top rating due to the service & hospitality. The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks. Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order. They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok. The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open."
