Amorosa Peter Bay is surrounded by St. John's National Park and located in the island's most desirable location. The fabulous north shore beaches at Peter Bay, Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay, Maho Bay, Francis Bay, Hawks Nest and more, are only a few moments drive in either direction. In fact, you can hike downhill to the Peter Bay Beach. Views from the villa stretch from Cinnamon Bay out to Jost Van Dyke and the BVI and out to Francis Bay and Tortola.

The design of Amorosa captures the old world splendor of a great Italian villa dating back hundreds of years. At the same time, all the modern conveniences blend in as well. The tropical gardens trace the upper terrace - one of several spots throughout the villa perfect for relaxing and taking in the spectacular ocean/island views. 8 person outdoor stone bar and barbecue complete with TV and speakers for great daytime or evening entertainment. Indoor features begin with charming marble and stone throughout the villa interior (and exterior too - this villa is a masonry wonder!). The kitchen features ice maker refrigerator, gas range with pot filler, and many features that will please the discriminating chef. Views out over Cinnamon Bay make this one of the most beautiful kitchens on the island.

The Great Room features Dining for 8 and an ambiance usually found in a beautiful villa in Tuscany. Bedrooms all feature king beds and full baths. All rooms are air conditioned with temperature controls in every room.

Incredibly enchanting property. We enjoyed every minute of it. We have stay at many homes on the USVI’s and BVI’s and this was by far the best. We barely even went to the beaches because the pool and house was so cool. The property managers were on point with any of the small requests we had. Can’t say enough good things. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful House. Great Location. Stunning Views.
This was our family's fifth trip to St. John, but it had been 8 years since the last time. We were a group of six adults in our family - the first time here with all of our children as adults. Villa Amorosa was perfect for us - it's a beautiful house in the perfect location to enjoy the North Shore beaches, but also have modest drives back into Cruz Bay or out to Coral Bay. The team managing the house, Nellie and Colby, were great and very responsive to the little things we needed help with. Stephanie, the property manager for the owners was also very helpful and we really appreciated their help when we were having issues with our car rental. We had a great stay and would love to come back and stay at Villa Amorosa again! Thanks!

Peter Bay Villa
House had a lot going for it to suit our needs for our group of six to celebrate our Mom’s 88th birthday. Conveniently located to north shore beaches of Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay and Maho Bay. Views and outdoor spaces were outstanding. A few minor issues and questions were easily addressed by Nellie who was very quick to respond. House layout accommodated both individual privacy and group activities. We had a great time at Amarosa!

This villa is so beautiful! Everything about this house is amazing! From its 4 bedroom suites, with outdoor showers. The gourmet kitchen and common areas, were great to hang out together. The outside patio with pool and outdoor kitchen were so amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay in St John
Wonderful villa, views are outstanding, plenty of room with lots of privacy with guest suites, outside living was extraordinary. Kitchen was very user-friendly, laundry onsite was great, very quiet, towels and chairs for beach were great, and location was ideal. Close to everything; best beaches, Cruz Bay, Coral Bay, trails, etc. Couple of small concerns: driveway extremely steep - rent vehicle that can handle it! Kitchen could use better cooking pans, etc., Took few days to address broken toilet but had others to use. Outdoor showers were great! Highly recommend!

Beautiful but Could be Better
The location is beautiful, but the property is run down and needs repairs. We visited two other villas that were thousands less, but were better maintained and offered drinking what and ice. Having to drive daily to get drinking water is not what I would expect for an expensive weekly rental. The concern about not having drinking water should have been disclosed.

An Honest Review
I am not writing this review to deter future renters from staying at this lovely home. It is a gorgeous house in a terrific location. My hope is this review will help the owners/property managers to make a few changes.I suggest the property management team go to the house the day BEFORE renters arrive to check basic functions of the home, including A/C in each bedroom, hot water in each bedroom, light bulbs, burners on stove, etc. The house is in dire need of some basic maintenance. We have rented, on average, 2-3 vacation homes a year for the past 15 years on various islands. At this price point, the house simply needs work. The property manager was very nice and responsive about our issues but that certainly does not make up for the fact that there are so many issues. No A/C and no hot water are large concerns. The exhaust fans and lights on the stove, sticky doors, rotten wood (thresholds to shower doors and above outside showers), etc are smaller maintenance issues. It would not take much to bring this home back to perfect order and would make for a much more enjoyable stay for your renters. One more thing, while trivial, please invest in some actual beach towels. The beach “sheets” are more like table cloths you’d spread on the beach for a picnic. I saw other reviewers complain about this issue and I thought it was silly but those “towels” are ridiculous. I’d be happy to send you some new beach towels if you supply an address. We had a great week at the house, the views and pool area are amazing. With a little elbow grease, this could be a top notch home rental.

Lovely island getaway
Owners here are great and we've stayed here as well as the Island Stones property (which is a full blown 5 stars). Overall experience was very positive here, but the property does need some tender loving care. The rooms are very large and the beds are wonderful. The outdoor showers are a lovely feature that adds to the island experience. The kitchen and grill outside are lovely to accommodate just about any kind of cooking you'd desire for your trip. The owners and property manager made sure we had a lovely spread of cheese, fruit, and some island beers when we arrived. Loved the hospitality. On the TLC front I'd point to a primary need: The pool lights do not work and have not for years according to the maintenance team. While the pool is only a single feature of such a beautiful property, the lack of lights in the pool takes away from the aesthetic and also hinders the usability of the space in the evening hours. Several window panes were also cracked or wearing heavily indicating some need for replacement or repair. Last thing is the waterfall next to the outdoor bar area that's no longer working. I believe this was off with intent to preserve water or avoid mosquitos, but the actual water well was still full of water and the mosquitos are even more plentiful in stagnant water. This should be repaired or filled in. Overall the property is a place we'd stay again, and we love the hospitality and care we received. 4.5 stars for us just not quite at the 5 star level that requires some investment to re-achieve.
