"My two daughters and I were informed by reception the night before that breakfast would start at a certain time. However, when we arrived the next morning, we were told by the lady behind the bar that because it was a bank holiday, breakfast would open an hour later. While we understood the change, the staff member was very rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional in the way she spoke to us. When we said we would report the matter, she replied, “I don’t care.” I later reported this to reception, where both staff members were very apologetic and understanding."

"Great hotel , an old building with a stylish interior . Staff were lovely and friendly, and so helpful. Food inventive and freshly cooked , much better than your average hotel, a real menu, for breakfast, lunch and dinner full of interesting choices - well done chef! Look forward to staying there again Remember the name - St Giles House Hotel - it’s going places !! "

"The hotel is located in the centre of Norwich next to the cathedral, everything is in walking distance. Our suite was located on the top floor via a small spiral staircase, ok for us but anyone with mobility issues would find it difficult. Bed and bathroom were comfortable with everything that we needed. The breakfast was varied with a lot to choose from but things were running out towards the end of service one day. The bar area was nice and service was great. Overall no complaints. "

Best nights sleep I’ve had in ages . Would recommend this establishment & team to everyone I know . "Room was clean and fine for a night’s stay. Bed was ok, shower good. Parking limited and we parked on the street which was fine after 6pm and on a Sunday. Was noisey in the evening and WiFi was very temperamental. Overall I’d say 7/10 but I could only give 4/5 stars as 3 would be a little harsh given the price we paid."

"Convenient location for the city centre. Extremely clean hotel, welcoming and friendly staff, excellent cooked breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room, with doors open to the spring garden. The building is old, the stairs to the room were a bit awkward, nevertheless, overall an excellent experience. "
