"Basic "

"The Lighthorseman accommodation is a very handy short walk into the city. The room itself was clean and functional. The main road outside had almost constant traffic until late and started early, I think ear plugs being provided may be a good idea. I did not take advantage of the optional breakfast"

"Room smelt fusty, and was dark, very little natural light. Disappointed I pointed it out to Reception , they couldn;t move me because the Hotel was full and no compensation offered."

"Nice hotel. Kind of at the very back of York so it's quite a hike to get there. You feel like you're in someone's den. It was very cozy and comfortable"

"Excellent location , easy walking distance to many restaurants, grocery store and shambles."

"Room was clean. Breakfast was fresh and replenished quickly. Easy to use coffee machines and could order scrambled or poached eggs. Fried eggs out. Pool was great "

"Bed was not comfortable, and can upgrade TV with OTT Apps."

"Unfortunately in our room the ventilation was not working and had a error come up if you tried to restart the air conditioning. We did not really need air conditioning for cooling that much but just flowing air would have been much nicer as the room but a bit muggy and musky because lack of air flow. Windows did open a bit we found so that did help. Room was well fitted out but some things did not work, usb ports along side bed, fan in bathroom. Not a deal breaker but could have been better for sure. Good Competitive rates though as well."
