Amazing location! We've converted this centrally located 1955 house into a super comfortable eco-friendly abode. With edible landscaping, a screened-in pool, Sonos sound system, luxury kitchen appliances, fast wifi, an office with standing desk and monitor, and the most comfortable bedding, this net-zero energy home is the perfect winter retreat & remote working location. It's just blocks from dozens of bars & restaurants, and a quick bus ride or drive to the beach!
Kiss the ice and snow goodbye and spend your winter in sunny St. Pete! Our home is right in the heart of it all. It's just a few blocks from the Sun Runner bus that takes you right to the beach, and it's a super short walk to Tropicana Field (home of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team), endless cafes, bars, and restaurants, art museums, and galleries.
The first thing you'll notice as you arrive at the property is the front yard full of fruits, herbs, and vegetables that are free for your enjoyment (but no worry, you won't have to tend to the plants as we have a gardener who takes care of it all).
As you enter the home, you'll notice the spacious living room with a 72" smart TV and Sonos surround sound system that provides high quality entertainment.
Next, the high end kitchen with granite countertops, stainless appliances, induction cooktop, and beer fridge, along with the outdoor Traeger wood pellet grill are perfect for cooking up amazing meals with your fresh harvest from our garden.
Our dining room seats 6 for when the weather isn't quite perfect, but you'll likely be eating outside most days in our screened in back yard. The heated pool is perfect for a morning or afternoon swim.
There are two king bedrooms with super comfortable eco-friendly and hypo-allergenic beds, ceiling fans, and the best linens. The guest bathroom has a granite countertop and a tub.
The master bedroom is spacious with a modest walk in closet and attached laundry and utility sink (behind the barn doors). The master bath has a basic sink and shower and is convenient to the pool area.
The office / bedroom has a full size bed plus a standing desk, 32" computer monitor (HDMI), webcam, printer/scanner, paper shredder, wall mounted TV, and comfy desk chair.
Finally, the bonus room adjacent to the pool can be used as a 2nd office and also includes a standing desk with 32" monitor. the space doubles as an exercise room with basic fitness gear and a TV.
Super fast gigabit Wifi with access points throughout the house provide a solid signal inside and out.
There's one parking space in the back, accessible through the alley, as well as an EV charger. Together with our front door camera, there is plenty of safe, lamplit street parking as well.
The home has been fully renovated to use zero net energy throughout the year! We've added spray foam insulation in the attic and crawlspace, replaced all of the windows with super efficient hurricane-proof ones, installed all new duct work and a high efficiency heat pump with advanced filtration and dehumidified fresh air ventilation, a heat pump water heater, high efficiency pool pump and pool heater, and topped it all off with a large rooftop solar PV system. Of course you won't be responsible for any utility bills, but you can sleep easy knowing that your winter getaway has minimal impact on the climate.
PET POLICY
If the renter foresees that any animal(s) or pets will enter the property at any time during their stay for a period of more than eight (8) hours on any one single day, belonging to one or more guests, prior approval must be received by the owner.
Any pet(s) owned by the renter or their guests require prior approval. Maximum 2 dogs or cats allowed at any time. Other house animals/pets approved with notice. The following rules also apply to service dogs, emotional support animals, petsitting, guests with pets:
1) Pets are not allowed on couches/sofas/beds/mattresses, even with a blanket or pet-proof mattress protector down. 2) Any damage from animals/pets including scratches, rips, tears, stains, smells of urine or wet dog, dander, biting, gnawing, chewing, walking on wood floors, discovered, anywhere in the home, upon immediate inspection after the rental period, may incur up to a $500 fee for refinishing or replacing an item. 3) Please clean up all messes made by pets, inside and out, especially near the neighbor's properties and around the neighborhood. This is a very friendly and respectful neighborhood with many dogs, but everyone does their part to keep it clean. Please dispose of all poop in the LARGE black garbage bins in the back public alley. 4) Animals of any kind ARE NOT permitted to swim in the pool. Fur will clog the filter and the robot vacuum. The artificial turf (both inside and outside the pool screen) IS NOT provided for animals and they are not permitted urinate or defecate on it. It is designed for human and animal play use only. 5) Do not leave pets outside unattended for more than five (5) minutes. Do not leave them leashed outside in front of a camera unattended. 6) Dogs must be taken to the groomer and are not to be bathed inside or outside of the house.
Violation of these rules can incur a fine of $500 or more, depending on if there are damages needing repair or extra cleaning beyond a reasonable amount.
