It felt wonderful to be able to come back to this hotel at the end of a long day. The staff and management really go all out to make guests feel at home. The rooms have very comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms! Meals are also very nice - and again, it was so comforting not to have to go out again at the end of the day. They excel in hospitality and they are just off the M74 and close to a 24- hour gas station. About a ten minute walk or short drive up the street, there is a variety of shops. That includes a lively bakery. I can recommend the iced gingerbread, but other things looked equally tasty. Nice to take back to the room for tea.

The appartement itself was well appointed and very comfortable, but our experience was negatively affected by an incident in the parking area. We were approached by a male individual who we could not identify as either a guest or a member of management. He berated us for how we had parked, speaking in a rude and intimidating manner. Had there been an issue with our parking, a polite explanation would have been appreciated. Instead, the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. As far as we were concerned we had parked in a designated parking area. I would encourage the host to ensure that any parking concerns are handled professionally and respectfully.

The castle was an incredible experience. The hospitality and professionalism of the staff was amazing. We experienced supreme service in all aspects of the property. We dined in the Ramsay, the bar, and The Dungeon. The service, staff attitude, and aptitude were faultless. The chef’s preparation and presentation was impressive leaving us with divine dining experiences. The entire stay was a very special experience and we would not hesitate to repeat it.

Nice and clean. The room was quiet, even though there was an event on, and it didn’t disturb me.
