My wife and I celebrated a special anniversary at Hotel La Palma. We booked a Junior Suite with a wrap around terrace that had a spectacular lake view. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and a relaxing environment. The staff is friendly and professional. Special thanks to front desk reception member, Debora, who was so helpful when our flight home was cancelled.

Very close to all there is to see in Stresa. Wonderful breakfast service. We also have dinner one night and it was pretty good. We had a lake view balcony and we enjoyed a couple of drinks there watching the boats and people go by. My only complain would be that this October was unseasonably hot, and the AC was turned off for the whole building. The common areas were hot, and the room, a bit too warm for my taste. We did open the windows, but then there would be mosquitos coming in, and noice from the street. They did lend me a stand up fan and that helped me sleep a bit better.

Worth the money
Great place, great location, nice town. Staff were very helpful, especially with our early check out and preparing a breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back.

Very lucky with the weather
We were very lucky with the weather!! It was perfect! Our room was on the third floor in the corner, we had beautiful views from the side but with he lake and island. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Breakfast is all what I would ask for. Service is great. Dinner is good. The menu is too small. All I ask for next time is cattle for tea in the room. I will come back if I can.

The hotel had a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. It also had a great pool by the lake as well as a nice workout room and spa. The service was excellent and the breakfast was superb.

Relaxing stay in Stresa
Lovely clean modern Hotel . Rooms well maintained by friendly staff with good quiet air conditioning . Reception staff were very helpful and minimal queues . The buffet breakfast was delicious and varied and served in a bright room with choice of indoor or outdoor seating . Attentive serving staff and everything fresh and plentiful . The icing on the a cake was the beautiful pool and bar overlooking the lake and the majestic mountains and islands around it . The roof top bar had wonderful views although sometime little choice of seating / position for residents as many pre-booked groups visiting the hotel . Lovely G and T though !! Overall I have no complaints and enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing few days there .

The location right on the lake was perfect and within easy walking distance to town. The room had a lake view which was fantastic. Breakfast overlooking the lake was incredible. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel has a great location. The breakfast buffet was terrific. We loved the pool across the street along the waterfront as well as the rooftop pool and bar. Overall we had a very good stay.

Great hotel with stunning views
We spent 3 happy days at La Palma. The views of Lago Maggiore were just stunning and the location allowed a short walk to many restaurants in Stresa. Our room was modern, up to date, and in perfect condition The Sky Bar on the roof was a great spot for lunch, snacks, or drinks. Staff was friendly and gracious; free parking a welcome bonus. Our only issue was the stylish but impractical lounge chaises on our terrace. They desperately needed cushions and their unadjustable design prevented them from being a comfortable spot to lay back and read. We hope management will consider switching them for the ones out by the lakeside pool and adding cushions. Or, how about day beds? Now that would be amazing.

GREAT LOCATION
Very nice hotel. Pleasant and rooftop is terrific. We were there in off season so it was not all open but looks lovely. Spectacular views. Very extensive breakfast options. Recommend.

Nice hotel in a great location
This is a nice well located hotel on the front with views across the lake. Unfortunately the bed and pillows were particularly firm which caused a sleepless night. On my visit the hotel was busy with what appeared to be elderly tourists, the restaurant was very noisy. Overall I was disappointed.

I had two wonderful nights here. Great location and a great deal in the off season! I loved having access to the spa each night. The view from the sky bar and rooftop pool is pure magic. I had a garden view with a patio, it was very pretty. My only small complaints are that the bed was a bit sunk in and the room was too warm. I couldn’t turn down the heat so I opened the door at night. But overall, I was still very comfortable.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely location. The hotel is elegant, with a modern sense of style. The Sky Bar on the roof with pool and sundeck is fantastic. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous and quite extensive. Overall, a wonderful hotel experience that made us love Stressa!
