"Loved our stay at River Rest. We had fabulous weather last week but even if it wasn't it would still of been such a great place to relax for a week. The pictures don't do it justice. Very private, Clean, well situated. The lodge is comfortable & has everything you need. The village itself has a co-op takeaways & a great handyman store where you can buy Swan & Duck food for the many visitors you will have! We stayed in a few days purely because there was no where else we would rather be. We sat watching boats go by, we painted did jigsaws ( we took with us) & just chilled. Some nights we cooked ( kitchen well stocked with utensils) Good sized smart tv. Comfy beds. Great communication with Tina ( Manager) with regard to directions. Info in the lodge regarding where to visit. Can't wait to return next year."

"Only thing I suggest is the balcony needs a proper safety rail there's a 4 foot drop, with only a wire cable a child could easily fall through it"

"Ideal for a solo traveller or two people on a short break. Very cosy and comfortable with essential needs.We took two working dogs that stayed in their own dog boxes overnight... their was plenty of fields around the area to let dogs stretch their legs and do their business. Where we stayed it is not ideal to let dogs off their leads as there are no fence or gate to keep dogs secure and safe. Ideal for small dogs in the lodge who are house trained and don't explore or wonder off.Location is ideal with lots of history and natural landscapes along the journeys ahead to visit.Books about Norfolk where left to your leisure to things to do.Recommend Horsey and Holkham Estate to see hundreds of wild seals and fallow deer close by. Cromer, Well- next the sea, Blickley Estate, Great Yarmouth and Norwich Cathedral are a must... plenty of churches and nature reserves we visited. We both enjoyed our stay in Norfolk and the week went so fast, lucky to have beautiful weather which was a bonus. Love to visit Norfolk again to see different areas we didnt visit, there is so much to do.Thanks to Glenn & Georgie for having us in their home."

"We took our 90+ parents for a short break to Flag house -chosen with help from Tina at Norfolk lodges for its amazing position -lots to look at on the river boats/ sailing/ and feeding the ducks and swans which they loved.bedrooms and bathrooms all on ground floor and we didn’t really need upstairs! Would definitely return with more able bodied family and hire a boat!!"

"We had a lovely stay in the Oak shepherds hut. Great location to access the Broads and sandy beaches. The hut was well stocked with utensils and local information. Great communication with Imogen. Bottle of wine, dog biscuits and human biscuits were a nice touch. Lovely pub just up the road which welcomed dogs. Would highly recommend and will be returning as such a lovely find."
