Alpine Villa Condo 24 - Snug as a Bug in this Homey Remodeled Pad

This compact, 2-bedroom plus Den/3-bath condo will comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. Offering 1300 square feet of living space, the unit has been extensively renovated and refurbished. It is in the perfect location, close to River Run lifts and shuttle, and is within walking distance to West Ketchum's movie theater, shops, and bistros.

This condo offers modern accommodations, flat-screen smart TVs, and wireless internet. The ground level has entries at both the front and the back, which lead to the dining/living room and den. The gas fireplace adds warmth and comfort. The dining area accommodates up to 6 guests at table seating, while the adjacent granite kitchen bar offers 3 stools at the counter. The kitchen has newer appliances, an instant-on hot water dispenser, and the expected array of small kitchen appliances. The living room has a 28-inch flat-screen TV with cable for viewing from the love seat, ottoman, or nearby seated dining area. There is a deck off the ground-level den with a rear fenced courtyard offering southwest views. The den has a new queen sofa sleeper, a 43-inch flat screen Smart TV with cable, and an adjacent bath with a shower and a washer and dryer. The unit does not have A/C.

The second level offers two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath. The primary suite offers a king bed, vaulted ceiling, 28-inch Smart TV with no cable, but is WiFi-linked for live streaming. The en-suite bath has a shower and a bathtub. Partial mountain views can be enjoyed from this bedroom. The second bedroom also offers mountain views and has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom (shower only).

Complex Features: Alpine Villa Condominiums are conveniently located near the bike path and are within walking distance of the River Run ski lifts on Bald Mountain. The complex common area offers a coin-operated laundry facility. There is a free shuttle that will transport you to ski lifts on Bald Mountain, downtown Ketchum, and the Sun Valley and Elkhorn Resorts.

Please note: No pets allowed. This unit is professionally managed, and all check-ins are at the Alpine Lodging Office, conveniently located on South Main Street in Ketchum. Self-check-in is not available at the property. We strive to make check-in as quick and easy as possible so you can start enjoying your vacation! Reservations are unit-specific. We do everything possible to keep your reservation in the same property you’ve reserved. If the property has a maintenance emergency, we will contact you with the option to move your reservation to a property of equal or greater value, at no additional cost.

Perfect location for a Ski Weekend

Exactly what we were looking for. Situated 5 minutes from the mountain and 5 minutes from town, this condo was the perfect spot for our family. The extra den allowed us to have the space to work as well. Would happily stay again!

We liked the location and walked to town and to the ski lift with ease. The primary bedroom mattress could use updating. This was a very cozy property with most of the shared time around the kitchen table only. We used the sofa room for our gear. The Property Management rep was friendly and helpful.

Alpine Villa 24

It was a nice place. The kitchen was well stocked. It is close to the lifts. But not exactly walking distance with skis and boots. However the bus stop is right out front. We had only two problems. One the heater in the master bathroom and master bath did not work and they had to bring in a space heater for the duration of our stay. The other problem was we ran out of hot water after washing clothes and trying to take a shower. It turns out the washer Hot and cold lines were reversed and used all the hot water.

Convenient location

Location can’t be beat, nearly as close to walk as the far parking lot, and convenient to downtown. Don’t love having to go to a rental office to get a code that can be emailed or texted to you and not thrilled to get there at the time you are supposed to be able to check in and be told sorry, not ready, go drive around for a bit (um, we’ve been driving for 5 hours). The description says DVD player so we came prepared for long evenings but there was no DVD player and the big TV is in a back room. The main living area only has a small, barely big enough for 2, love seat. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful with a great shower. Thermoregulation was a bit of a challenge (HOT or COLD). The kitchen was nice.

Pretty good

Pros: Good location, big master bedroom and bathroom, keyless entry, stocked well, having a private bathroom for each bedroom, mini backyard, nice neighbors living in the complex, and a super cute 14 yr old husky named Albie that greeted us when we’d come home. Cons: *Musty smelling old beds. We had old winter bedspreads in the summer. A light bedspread for summer would be nice. *Downstair’s pullout-bed mattress is horrible. It’s basically like laying on springs. Asked the management for a blow-up mattress to use instead. They brought the air-mattress but there was no pump. Never got the pump after asking a couple times. *Never had enough hot water for 4 adults showering in the mornings. *Only 1 big chair in kitchen area. Would suggest a couch along the wall under the stairs instead. *No A/C

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Alpine Villa Condo was good, not great. Furniture was okay. TVs weren't great. Kitchen could have been stocked better. Location was right next to the free bus stop which was really convenient. On busy days though, be prepared that the bus might be full since it's the last stop before the main base of Bald Mtn. One other thing to be aware of is that the office for check-in is about a mile from the actual condo, so if you don't have a car (which you don't need one in Sun Valley due to the free bus), it will be a giant pain to carry luggage from the office to the condo once checked-in, especially in winter months.

It is right on the local bus route too.The bedrooms and their adjoining bathrooms are comfortable. The living space on the first floor is tight if you have more than 2-3 people. The TV's and internet are very good. The unit has very little outside noise making it feel private.Parking for this particular unit is iffy as the condo is in a corner of the complex and you can be a good distance away for where your car is parked in bad weather.Overall, for just the two of us, it was a very good property for the cost.

4th Getaway

The location was perfect and the accommodations fit our needs. It appeared that the cleaners left before double checking the house as the shower curtain in the master was laying on the floor, there was a light hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen.

No A/C but the fans were helpful. Couldnt open window/door in the back room due to neoghbors smoking. Other than that, location was good and condo had lots of room for two teenagers.

Beautiful Condo

Arrival was easy and the place was beautiful. The porch/grill provided us with several beautiful meals during our stay. Friendly neighbors too. Would highly recommend the place to others wanting a place within quick walking distance to downtown Ketchum
