"A lovely spot and beautiful building. It is so quirky and old. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. I loved the low ceiling in the bathroom. The staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming. The only feedback I'd give relates to the breakfast which was very limited. I do appreciate it is only a continental breakfast but it really was a tiny selection. The tea pot and lovely china crockery were delightful though as I sipped my tea in the morning!"

"Really happy with our stay in the Ground Floor Flat. Layout gives space and privacy for an extended family, especially when connected to adjoining room. Very happy with the price paid on a 'cost per person' basis. Everything seemed newly refurbished and, while fittings were not luxury, everything was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and location was very convenient for what we needed - ideally between the railway station and cricket ground - albeit not the most picturesque part of the town."

"What a find! Brilliant place to stay opposite the train station and 10 minutes walk from the county cricket ground! Excellent restaurants nearby too. Not for profit charity run in aid of YMCA so nice to give back something. Couldn’t fault it. Breakfast lovely too. "
