"Toilet didn't flush properly, shower controls were really slow to react, it would go from freezing o boiling with little control."

"Location was perfect with a rear exit literally opposite the ACC. The room was spacious with everything necessary for self catering. The bathroom was similarly spacious. The wardrobe was big with coat hangers, and iron and board, and a working safe. Everything was very clean. Breakfast has plenty of choices although the coffee was - for me - awful. The few downsides - my window overlooked a roof so there was little natural light and the overhead bedroom light was quite dim, so the room felt a bit gloomy at times. The notice board in the room advised that there would be light housekeeping daily but my room was not visited during my four night stay. Overall I would stay here again and would recommend it to others. "

"It is a great location, quite and has many attractions near by, kind staff. The only let down was the room had many moths/flies (couldn’t tell what they were) in the room."

"First time for us at this modern hotel and it had everything we needed for a 2 night stay in Liverpool post cruise. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, they gave great local advice. The hotel felt very safe & secure, no one could just wander in. A hotel key card is needed for the doors and elevator. Our room was great, very clean and the bed was so comfortable we slept 12hrs the first night! The room had a mini kitchen, smart tv, huge wardrobe, safe & ironing board. Bathroom was huge but a walk in shower would have been easier for us both. I should have checked. This was a room only basis but there are loads of eateries nearby. Highly recommend The Wreck for breakfast, just 50m away. We would stay at The Resident Liverpool again."

"A tired icon. Full of history, with the entrance and ballroom jewels to behold. The bar is smart and well priced too. However my room - standard double - was very poor. Chipped basin, exposed pipes, holes in the wall, broken loo seat, ceiling cracks, and faded mismatching paint on the walls. Staff were friendly but towels weren’t replaced, and they failed to bring the pillow I requested. They don’t clean rooms supposedly to be sustainable but it feels like it’s just to cut corners and save pennies. Well priced for the city but I couldn’t say I’d recommend due to the condition of the room."
