"Had a great one night stay at the Horse and Jockey. Very friendly staff, great sized room with a big bathroom and powerful shower. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent on Friday night with a good traditional pub-food menu. Great atmosphere in the pub, and there was a quiz night which attracted lots of people. Had a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed and breakfast was very good too with the normal selection of cereals, juices, yoghurts and a few hot options as well as a full English. Definitely recommend it gif a stay if in the area."

"Newly renovated semi-detached house in a residential area near Ripley. We were a family group of 6 attending a funeral and the house worked well for us. The downstairs bedroom and ensuite was perfect for my elderly mum (good walk-in shower). The kitchen/dining space was spacious and well equipped. The lounge was comfortable. Upstairs there are 3 good sized double rooms and a spacious modern bathroom. One bedroom has an en-suite which has a shower and basin. The garden is just laid to lawn but there’s a lovely tree and patio with table and chairs. There was room for two cars on the drive. Full marks for installing an air source heat pump in the house. The area seemed quiet at night. Tesco nearby."

The welcome basket was a lovely touch. All in all I would definitely recommend this property for a celebration and would consider it again in the future."
