"This was a fabulous experience to stay at Florence Nightingale’s summer home. A most beautiful and historic house in its own grounds ( Nightingale Park) and a delightful family home. We were made most welcome and enjoyed our stay very much."

"We used The Family Tree hotel/b&b as a stop over on the way to Bath. The place was superb… very clean, good facilities in the room, with a hearty and delicious breakfast. The off street parking in also very convenient. Additionally the staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Thx for a lovely stay"

"Just an amazing gem, the property itself is an amazing estate with great staff and food - with the feel of a small boutique manor, it offers a nice luxurious retreat at a reasonable price, it was the highlight stay of our 16 day trip around the UK."

"Lovely hotel, we were at a family party nearby. The hotel bar area is excellent and well priced. All of the staff from check in to bar and breakfast servers were excellent. The continental breakfast is a great start to the day, the full English breakfast also looked great. This was our second stay and we will be back."

"The house had good facilities and we really enjoyed our stay but the drive at the house needs some work so it is easier to get up! I had to put some brick rubble from the front area into the hole at the right side of the drive so we could get up and down without damaging the front spoiler of our car(a Ford Estate). There was no room to park on the road outside the property. There were some used tissues and dust under the beds and the kitchen cabinets had sawdust on the top shelves where plates were and in the top cupboard where the cups were which still had sticky price labels attached to the bottom of the cups.I think this has been newly renovated Also there needs to be a light in the conservatory, which serves as the dining area with chairs and table as we couldn't see what we were eating in the dark evenings. The back garden could be made more appealing and an extension lead is needed in the downstairs bedroom in order to plug the TV into some power. We would certainly think about staying again as the location was great for visiting lots of things in the area"
"Excellent staff, very clean room, nice bar with plenty of choice, breakfast was lovely, (i had the english breakfast), all for a bargain price in my view, would definitely stay again, in fact we already plan to stay here when were in the area again, if i had one small niggle it would be the quality of the rump steak i had in the evening, it was a very tough bit of meat, it wasnt the way it was cooked as it was exactly as I'd asked for, it was just quite tough and stringy"
"Spotlessly clean and extremely well-equipped for such a small property. Hosts were really friendly, welcoming and helpful, explaining the best route to where I needed to go. Bed was very comfortable and the property had its own heating system that could be controlled by the guest for their ideal temperature. Very well-insulated - property stayed warm all day while I was out with the heating turned to minimum. Only a short distance to filling station up or down the road it's on, plenty of shops nearby (around 1/2 mile). Convenient for many local tourist attractions such as Crich Tramway Village, Great British Car Journey, Ecclesborne Railway, Midland Railway Centre, etc. Less than a mile drive takes you into beautiful rolling countryside with footpaths to walk. Hope to return next year and do more."
"Located 15mins from Matlock, this property is in an excellent quiet location. Beds comfortable, Hot Tub which was clean and perfect temperature the moment we arrived. Odd bit of maintenance Ive informed the owner about but did not affect our stay. Communication was constant throughout the stay answering questions we had almost instantly. Really nice touches like washing up liquid, condiments and small things you would not expect from a vrbo property. The games room which was a hit with my kids. We would come back and recommend "
"Absolutely beautiful cottage full of essentials for our stay. The whole setting is stunning with the gardens and surrounding areas.
Plenty of local pubs and restaurants close by for food as well as supermarkets to grab snacks for the house.
We went to Gulliver’s kingdom 20 mins away and Alton towers 1 hour away across our 2 days stay which were both easily accessible.
There is a wide range of sizes of cottage and homes to choose from all of which looked amazing. "
The Milking Parlour Grande -9 bedroom property with hot tub
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed with friends & family for husbands birthday , the property is beautiful and absolutely faultless . The owner has gone above & beyond to meet our needs & so kindly arranged for the property to be available for me from 12 o clock on the day of check in, communication was fantastic & owner always responded and was most helpful . Would definitely recommend any of the properties on oakerthorpe holiday village. My nephew spent time feeding the animals on the farm & collected eggs all at no extra charge. My only complaint would be that we had to come home at the end of our stay ! We have been home a few hours and already missing the hot tub !"
Isimi luxurious 4 Bed House Derby, with ensuite bathrooms. A Home away from Home
2/10 Terrible
"There was many things that were incredibly disappointing about this property. An hour before arriving we received a message to say the main bathroom toilet was blocked and they weren’t going to fix it before our stay, meaning the only toilets available were inside the 2 en-suite bathrooms. After arriving we found the house in what seemed to be mid construction. The kitchen was still covered in protective plastic, with cupboards without handles and a complete lack of cutlery, glasses and plates. What mugs and glasses there were, were dirty and chipped. The “dining area” inside the conservatory lacked a light fixture leaving the room unusable. The main bathroom had a large unfinished door inside that led to an open wall cavity. There were dirty towels stuffed inside the cupboard containing the boiler. The bathrooms had no, hand soap and only 1, half empty, toilet room each. Meaning we had to go out and purchase both toilet rolls and hand soap. Despite being aware all beds would be in use many of them had no pillow cases or duvet covers. The driveway was also unusable, with pit holes and debris meaning we only had on street parking. The host actually contacted me privately through WhatsApp after I called to ask for the check in details 48 hours before our stay (having not received any codes or instruction) they stated they had not received payment despite payment being taking and processed by Vrbo, they seemed to be wanting me to pay again directly to them which I refused.
