"We were met by very friendly staff . The room was just right for what we needed. Tea/ coffee facilities which are important to me . It is dog friendly. I would definitely recommend it. I wish they had a dog bed on request but that is all really . Breakfast was lovely a very good choice .. "

"It is not often that a hotel becomes the highlight of your vacation. THORNBUrY IS THE EXCEPTION TO THAT RULE! We felt to transported to hundreds of years in the past in terms of the architecture and the style of interior furnishings. At the same time, it had all of the service amenities, quality of fixtures and furnishings, food anf service that is expected of a five star hotel. Well worth the price of our stay, we so wish to return."

"The hotel was very clean the staff were very helpful and friendly the food was very nice we ate in the bar area it was very relaxed. If I had one negative it was thst the bed was a little hard it could have done with a mattress topper. "

"The Rectory was a wonderful location for our annual family birthday/get together. Everything was perfect and Jane left us a lovely card and birthday cake which was much appreciated. We all loved the log fire in the evening while we played board games and it was great to have a table everyone could sit around and eat together. The grandchildren loved the pool and picking apples from the orchard for apple pie. It was an idyllic retreat. "
