Life at this amazing place moves with the rhythm of the land. Families enjoy meeting our miniature donkeys, Highland cows, ponies, and peacocks. Couples wander quiet orchard paths or relax along forest trails. Adventurers set off into the Cibola National Forest or explore the historic Quarai Ruins, while others spend lazy afternoons by the pool or evenings gathered around the firepit.
Dining is part of the charm. On weekends, start your day with a hearty breakfast buffet. Weekdays feature fresh, made-to-order meals, and the Mercantile shop offers snacks, drinks, and local goods daily. In the fall, our orchards come alive with harvest traditions, cider pressing, and donuts that keep guests returning year after year.
Guests often tell us they leave feeling lighter, more connected, and full of memories. Whether it’s a romantic getaway, family adventure, or personal retreat, you’ll find the pace unhurried, the welcome genuine, and the mountains embracing you with calm.

We’re the Dudley, Gemmer & Crabtree family — dreamers, doers, and animal lovers who call the Manzano Mountains home. In 2022, we opened this Mountain Retreat to share the beauty of our orchards, meadows, and animals with guests. Hosting weddings, retreats, and our annual Apple Harvest Festival has been a joy, and now we’re excited to welcome travelers into our glamping tents. Whether you’re here for peace, adventure, or connection, we’re honored to host you with warmth and New Mexico hospitality.
A stay here is more than a room — it’s an experience. Guests leave refreshed and lighter: kids roam free, couples reconnect, and friends gather under the stars. With farm animals, apple orchards, and endless trails, this amazing place offers a rare chance to slow down and embrace simple pleasures.
