The Anvil Inn

"A beautiful thatched inn at a location that puts you in reach of so many imteredting places. The building, a former blacksmigh's shop, is bwtween 400 and 450 years old which makes it quirky and full of character. Sadly it would not be possible to make it accessible for those with disabilities. But the food is great, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are friendly. I was particularly impressed by their bar manager, Kora. Nothing was too much trouble gor her. I would thoroughly recommend the Anvil and I hope to stay there again someday."

"Friendly welcome, room had everything you would need. Cookies were excellent and dog loved the treats! The little extras for humans and the dog were very much appreciated. Helpful staff and they made sure we had breakfast to go when had to leave early. Nice looking village and quiet even though on a road. Great pub / accommodation, would stay again."

"What a pleasant and well assorted place. The house had wonderful views of the countryside and was like new inside. We had a very happy stay there and will look forward to coming back."

"The cottage is very warm and cosy. Everything works well - but there could have been better instructions as to how things worked ! Rather under equipped but as very new I expect they will add things as they gain experience. Very nice hosts."
